AGR expecting stronger Indy run
Andretti Green Racing believe that they will be in better shape for this year's Indianapolis 500 than in 2006
Team co-owner Michael Andretti will drive a fifth car for the team for the second year running, and he feels that it is a benefit to the entire team to run an extra car.
"Five cars affected the team in a positive way," he said. "I think we're coming up with a better team than last year, and we'll be even more competitive."
Andretti said that he had "a lot of fun" in last year's race, where he finished third behind his son Marco and race winner Sam Hornish Jr, and he admitted that the decision to enter the race again was an easy one.
Team co-owner Kim Green agreed that having five drivers in the race would help the team, especially in the build up to the race.
"With five drivers, there's more information, so I think we'll be even better," he said. "It's all really about teamwork."
Green added that the progress of the youngest Andretti in the past year since he finished second in the race had been remarkable.
"Marco has matured so much in the last 12 months," he said. "It'd take most guys three years to reach where he is already."
