Carlos Munoz stays on with Andretti Autosport for IndyCar 2016
Carlos Munoz will stay with Andretti Autosport for the 2016 IndyCar season
The Columbian made his debut in the series with the team in the 2013 Indianapolis 500 - where he started and finished second - and has contested the last two seasons full-time.
On his way to 13th in the 2015 standings, he won his first race in Detroit in May.
He has now been confirmed in the team's line-up for next season, alongside fellow continuing drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay and Marco Andretti.
"Really happy to join the team again for 2016 - it will be my fifth year with Andretti," said Munoz, who also raced for the team in Indy Lights.
"I'm really happy to be able to return for another year.
"The 2016 schedule looks really nice and we hope to fight for an Indy 500 win and a championship."
The 23-year-old won five Indy Lights races with Andretti across the 2012 and '13 seasons.
"Carlos has been part of the Andretti family of drivers for several years now," team owner Michael Andretti said.
"We're really pleased with his growth as a driver and look forward to a competitive 2016."
Andretti rotated the driver line-up in its fourth car alongside Hunter-Reay, Andretti and Munoz last year before Justin Wilson got the seat for the final part of the season.
The Briton was set to continue into 2016 before his fatal crash at Pocono.
