The inside line on the French GP
Play your cards right this weekend and Magny-Cours might just be the opportunity to make some money
The bad news is that you will need to be brave; it involves betting against Michael Schumacher... The good news is that with Michelin expected to be strong again, there are some very interesting odds.
First off, Michael is 5-4 to win the race and, based on Nurburgring, when just 0.09s covered the first three in qualifying, that does not look too appealing.
Kimi Raikkonen's performance here last year was tremendous and only a patch of oil prevented him from winning. And look at his form at Nurburgring a few days ago. For Magny-Cours, I direct you straight to the dual forecast bets where you should look at the various Kimi bets.

Unsurprisingly, the bookies are now wise to the Kimi/Michael doubles and you will only find 4-1. But don't let that put you off. Start looking at the odds that pair the McLaren man with another Michelin runner. David Coulthard won splendidly here three years ago, so if he can qualify well for a change, what about 25-1 for a McLaren 1-2!
Or, if you are swayed by the recent Williams-BMW form, and there is no reason not to be, how about Raikkonen/Jean-Pablo Montoya at 12-1 or identical odds for Raikkonen/Schumacher Jr. You can bag a second successive Williams one-two at 9-1. Or, how about Montoya/Coulthard at 40-1? Not on recent form perhaps, but a lot stranger things have happened!
