Snoeks quickest in second practice

The 20-year-old Dutchman is one of several drivers with prior circuit knowledge - having had the best weekend of his 2009 Formula Master season at this track - but he beat them all to the top of chart in the 30-minute session.

His best time was a tenth quicker than fellow Formula Master graduate Sergei Afanasiev set to top the day's earlier running.

Jack Clarke was second fastest from fellow second-year F2 racer Kazim Vasiliauskas and former GP2 exponent Ricardo Teixeira.

Afanasiev was fifth this afternoon with championship leader Jolyon Palmer sixth.

Benjamin Bailly and Armaan Ebrahim were next up, with series newcomer Johannes Theobald ninth. Will Bratt completed the top 10 with title protagonist Dean Stoneman just 11th.

Expected front runners Nicola de Marco and Philipp Eng continued to struggle in 14th and 15th places.
