Reid trying to stay calm for NZ race
Jonny Reid believes that one of his biggest challenges for his home A1GP event is going to be staying calm
The New Zealand driver heads into the race at Taupo in less than two weeks after scoring a double victory last time out at Sentul, which has raised the expectations of the entire team for their home race.
"The script couldn't be any better in terms of the Indonesian result preceding our home race," said Reid.
"The big problem will be trying to chill before the event and not getting hyped up too soon."
Reid's victories at Sentul vaulted New Zealand up to fifth in the standings, but they are still 17 points behind series leaders Germany, who have scored race victories with Nico Hulkenberg.
The two teams are looked after by David Sears Motorsport, which effectively makes them teammates in the series.
"Nico is always going to be the man to beat," said Reid, "because he's a strong driver and anything we learn as a team he has access to.
"We work well together though and that is showing through our results. If we want it to work we have to continue being open and honest."
