No competition for Canada drive
Canada's rookie driver James Hinchcliffe insists that there is no competition between himself and Sean McIntosh for the race seat at the team
Hinchcliffe raced at the first three rounds of the series, but former race winner McIntosh stepped back into the car for the past two rounds.
While some rookie drivers have made it clear that they are putting pressure on their more established teammates, Hinchcliffe knows that his time will come again.
"The team have been really good to us both, and I know I'll be getting more chances in the car," Hinchcliffe told autosport.com.
"This is a team sport, and it's good to be part of the process and help to find setups on the car."
The Champ Car Atlantic racer added that his chance will come regardless of the results McIntosh gets.
"I never wish ill on Sean because I want the team to do well," he said. "I know the team are going to be fair and rotate the drive, so we'll be back trying to nail another win."
McIntosh was replaced with Patrick Carpentier last season directly after taking Canada's only win in the series to date at Sentul.
