McIntosh and Hinchcliffe for Canada
Sean McIntosh and James Hinchcliffe will be Team Canada's race drivers for the new A1 GP season which kicks off on October 1
Nineteen-year-old Hinchcliffe will race at Zandvoort for the season opener, as McIntosh has clashing World Series by Renault commitments at Le Mans.
The Canadian team scored one victory last season courtesy of McIntosh, who was subsequently replaced by Patrick Carpentier for the three remaining rounds of the season.
"Last season was incredible challenge but I was grateful for the opportunity," said McIntosh, who is currently seventh in the World Series by Renault standings.
"My proudest moment was singing 'Oh Canada' on the top of the podium at Indonesia, but this season we have to be more consistent and fighting for podiums and wins all the time."
Hinchcliffe is eighth in the Champ Car Atlantic series with one round remaining, and has one victory to his name, which came at Portland.
"It's an honour to represent your country in anything and A1GP offers a fantastic platform for me," he said. "I was thrilled to be able to test with the team, and now I'm looking forward to actually competing."
Team Great Britain chairman John Surtees is also involved in the Canadian project, and recently told autosport.com to expect an Anglo-Canadian attack on this season as the two nations will work together closely.
He said: "Sean grabbed his opportunity with both hands developed tremendously throughout last season, and James has been impressive from his very first test session.
"Their performance in testing has been very encouraging, so they should make for an exceptionally strong pairing for Team Canada."
