Lister on top in FIA GT practice

The factory Lister team continued to dominate proceedings in practice for round two of the FIA GT Championship

Julian Bailey and Jamie Campbell-Walter were 0.3s clear of the field at Estoril in Portugal, although in the morning session they had lagged behind the Carsport Holland Chrysler Viper of Mike Hezemans and David Hart.

The latter slipped to fourth in the afternoon, beaten by Belmondo Viper drivers Boris Derichebourg and Vincent Vosse, who will share their cars with Claude-Yves Gosselin and Paul Belmondo respectively.

The second Lister of Peter Harman, Nicolaus Springer and Philippe Favre was only fifth quickest, ahead of local hero Ni Amorim and South African Stephen Watson in the fastest Chamberlain Viper.

Stephane Ortelli returned to the championship and was the fastest Porsche driver, seventh overall in the car he shares with Wolfgang Kaufmann but frustrated by the 1.8s gap to the flying Lister.

In the N-GT class, Christophe Bouchut and Patrice Goueslard were quickest but the EMKA and G-Force entries were not far behind.
