Legge hopes to confirm plans soon
Katherine Legge is optimistic that she will have a Champ Car deal for 2007 in place in the coming weeks
The British driver has driven with Dale Coyne Racing during every pre-season test so far in 2007, but there has been no confirmation of a race deal yet.
Legge has impressed the team in the new Panoz DP01 chassis, and in testing at Sebring earlier this year she outpaced the experienced Bruno Junqueira, who was also driving for the team.
"I have really enjoyed the way the new car handles and how well everyone on the team has worked with me," Legge said.
"The season is just around the corner and we should have some announcements very soon regarding our plans."
Team boss Dale Coyne added that working with Legge during the recent tests has been beneficial to his squad.
"Katherine has been a delight to work with," he said. "She is very professional with good quality feedback. These tests have been invaluable for everyone's effort in 2007."
Legge raced for PKV Racing last year in her rookie Champ Car season, where she finished 16th in the standings with a best finish of sixth at Milwaukee.
