Kerr eyeing victory at Brands

Robbie Kerr believes that Team Great Britain have a great chance of a victory on home soil this weekend at Brands Hatch

The former British F3 champion believes that the team have shaken off their bad luck at the perfect time to become the first team to win at their home event in the first two season's of A1GP.

"We're on a roll at the moment," said Kerr, who followed up Oliver Jarvis' win in Mexico with another in China last time out.

"Everything's clicked over the last few races and we've avoided the bad luck that stopped us from having a crack at the title this year."

Kerr is still targeting second place in the standings, although Team New Zealand are 14 points ahead with just 17 available from the final weekend of the season.

"We need to go for wins to get maximum points to overhaul New Zealand," Kerr added. "Based on current form I think we've got a great chance."

Team boss John Surtees believes that the team have now sorted out all of the issues that hampered them this season as they put together a new operation from scratch.

"We're now seeing everything come together with better reliability, better teamwork, and of course lately we've had better results including our first A1GP victories," he said.

"I'm hoping our momentum is carried through into Brands Hatch, and I believe it will. It should lead to a strong performance."
