Kerr criticises rival's start tactics
Robbie Kerr believes that his first lap accident in the sprint race at Taupo could have been avoided if other drivers had been paying attention at the start
The British driver collided with Malaysia's Alex Yoong at the first corner of the race, and the damage to his car meant that he dropped out of the points.
"The contact could have been well and truly avoided if a certain driver had been looking at the race lights instead of the cars around him," said the former British F3 champion.
However, Kerr hasn't placed the blame entirely with Yoong, as he feels that several drivers were not waiting for the red lights to go out on the rolling start.
"Some of the drivers were racing before the lights had changed at the start-finish line," he said.
"It was just stupidity that led to the accident that damaged our car."
Kerr had expressed a similar view at the previous round of the series in Sentul, when he felt that New Zealand's Jonny Reid had jumped the rolling start from pole position.
