Karthikeyan wants full season

Narain Karthikeyan is hoping that he will be able to race for Team India in every round of the next A1GP season

The Williams Formula One test driver made his first start for the team in New Zealand earlier this season, and he has enjoyed getting back into a race role in the two events since his debut.

"I am in discussion with A1 Team India as we speak," he said. "I am quite keen to do the entire championship next season.

"Arena Motorsports, who run our car, are an excellent team. I'm confident they can give me the right package to compete very strongly next season."

Karthikeyan added that he still has a strong desire to remain in single-seater racing at the moment, despite his name being linked to the new Speedcar Series stock car championship which will begin towards the end of the year.

"A drive in the Speedcar Series has been offered to me, but at this point in my career, single-seater racing will always be my number one priority," he said.
