Kane quickest in Lights practice

Ireland's Jonny Kane was fastest in second practice for the Indy Lights race at Portland

The former British F3 champion has had a fairly depressing time so far in his debut season in the CART junior formula, but was narrowly quickest ahead of Didier Andre and Geoff Boss in Saturday morning practice.

Kane languishes in 16th in the points, but should do better now that the championship moves away from the ovals and onto traditional, European-style road courses for the rest of the year.

PacWest driver Andre took provisional pole in Friday qualifying, with Kane an encouraging 4th overall. The second qualifying session takes place later today.
