Jani fastest in Saturday practice

Team Switzerland clocked the best time of the weekend by going fastest in the final A1GP free practice session at Sepang this morning

Neel Jani, who is always fast here, put in a superb time almost three tenths clear of Team France driver Loic Duval.

Team Great Britain's Oliver Jarvis, yesterday's form driver, has work to do. The Macau Grand Prix winner had a minor off early in the session and then struggled with a front-left tyre that wasn't giving him the feel he wanted.

Although he went faster than yesterday and was still fourth-quickest behind India's Narain Karthikeyan, he was surprised by the pace of the front-runners.

"I knew they would be quick, but I didn't think they'd be quite that quick," said Jarvis, who won at Zandvoort on the opening weekend of the season.

Team Germany newcomer Michael Ammermuller also kept improving today, going sixth-quickest after a steady session and getting within a second of the pace.

Home driver Alex Yoong also had an off, but at least managed to improve as far as 10th place, which was far more promising than yesterday's showing.
