Jarvis quickest in Sepang practice
Oliver Jarvis' tremendous recent form looks set to continue in A1GP this weekend after the Team Great Britain driver topped the first day's free practice at Sepang
Jarvis, who won the Macau Grand Prix just a few days ago, was fastest by almost half a second around the Malaysian Formula Pne Grand Prix venue.
Jarvis' nearest challengers were Swtizerland's Neel Jani, France's Loic Duval and New Zealand's Jonny Reid. These were the only drivers within a second of Jarvis, but then they didn't have as much track time as the Briton.
Jarvis was the only one of the lead quartet who had been eligible for the morning rookie session, in which he was also quickest.
Reid also lost track time with a spin, which halted the session early on. He was, however, able to resume his running for the rest of the afternoon, which ran without any stoppages.
Home team Malaysia had a discouraging start to the weekend, with Alex Yoong only 17th fastest.
