Great Expectations: The 2008 BTCC Season Preview

With 27 cars guaranteed for this weekend's season-opener at Brands Hatch and a packed 30-race calendar, the 2008 British Touring Car Championship looks set to be one of the most closely-fought for years. Autosport's international editor & BTCC correspondent Jamie O'Leary looks at the season ahead

2008 marks the 50th anniversary of the British Touring Car Championship, and series organiser Alan Gow has pulled out all the stops to make sure this season is a fitting tribute to the shoot-out that saw Jack Sears triumph over Tommy Sopwith.
