France head China final free practice

Team France newcomer Franck Montagny showed he'll be a force to be reckoned with at Shanghai this weekend by heading the A1GP times in final free practice

The ex-Super Aguri F1 racer outpaced title favourite Neel Jani and Team Switzerland by less than one-tenth of a second, while the third team in the title fight - Team New Zealand - was back in fourth with Jonny Reid.

Like France, Team Italy bolted on a fresh set of tyres late on, which allowed Edoardo Piscopo to set the third best time. Robbie Kerr was fifth for Team GB, just ahead of 'teammate' Felipe Alburquerque in the Portugal car.

After missing Friday testing, Rob Wickens was straight on the pace for Team Canada in seventh, ahead of Germany (Michael Ammermuller), India (Narain Karthikeyan) and local favourite Franky Cheng, who rounded out the top ten.
