Bourdais fastest as testing ends
Sebastien Bourdais set the fastest time of the two-day Champ Car test at Mont-Tremblant on Friday
The reigning champion was marginally faster than last year's championship runner-up Justin Wilson, while Tristan Gommendy was third quickest.
"I was very happy with how the whole thing went," said Bourdais. "There were a few test items we wanted to get an answer on, and I think we made some progress."
Thursday's pacesetter Robert Doornbos was fourth fastest for Minardi Team USA, and the Dutchman declared his two days a success.
"We are doing our homework to improve and slowly we are getting to the front," he said. "We have to continue to push hard because the other teams are getting quicker, but I think it has been a good two days."
Graham Rahal completed the top five in the second Newman/Haas/Lanigan car, and he was followed up by the Team Australia pair of Will Power and Simon Pagenaud.
Thursday's second fastest man Dan Clarke was only eighth quickest on day two, and his day was cut short after he damaged his car with an off.
Paul Tracy also missed out on valuable track time with an off, as he prepared for his return to Champ Car action after injuring himself at Long Beach.
