Indy 500 - Carb Day In other Penske news, we're hearing that Juan Pablo Montoya is experiencing boost problems. That would explain why he has only run six laps, and none at pace.
WRC - Portugal: Just as we praise Meeke for putting a green split on the board, Tanak goes 1.2s QUICKER than Ogier in the first split, and the Latvala goes 1.1s clear in the second split!

Ogier hasn't won the stage yet..
WRC - Portugal: Kris Meeke has given us our only green split on the timing screen breaking Ogier's dominance, but overall on the stage he's 0.9s down.

"I think we made a mistake with the tyres this afternoon," says Meeke.
Indy 500 - Carb Day Back to green again. This has been a surprisingly busy session: lots of cars on track, lots of drafting and passing. Power remains in P1, and team-mate Simon Pagenaud has moved up to P3.
WRC - Portugal: Mikkelsen goes 0.5s quicker than Ostberg, but still 2.3s down on Ogier.

"It was a clean stage for us, no problem, says Mikkelsen. "We are not pushing the limit but I'm happy with the time."
WRC - Portugal: Ostberg is through and loses 2.8s to Ogier.

Mikkkelsen will be next through, with similar splits to Ostberg it's anyone's guess whether he will match or beat him.
WRC - Portugal: Ogier has a good look at the car, the front tyre almost destroyed.

"This stage was much better than the first one. It was slippy still, still a lot of gravel off the line," says a contented Ogier.
WRC - Portugal: Ostberg is through the third split 1.8s down on Ogier, as the Frenchman finishes the stage.

It's a 11m32.9s for Ogier, better than his 11m51.3s from earlier today...
Indy 500 - Carb Day Track inspection again. It's still Power in P1, with the four Ganassis immediately behind him. Chaves is the fastest Honda-powered driver down in P7, 3mph off Power's speed.
WRC - Portugal: Mikkkelsen joins Ostberg by remaining exactly the same margin behind Ogier through the first and second stints! Ostberg 2s off, Mikkelsen 1.4s
WRC - Portugal: Meeke is the closest to Ogier so far, 0.3s down.

However, he started the last stage strong and fell away, so can the Citroen man challenge Ogier through the remainder of the stage?
WRC - Portugal: Amazingly, Ostberg remains exactly 2s down on Ogier for the second split in a row.

Kris Meeke is onto the stage, ending the previous stage 7.4s behind Latvala overall.
WRC - Portugal: Mikkelsen is also through the first split now, 0.6s up on Ostberg but still 2s off Ogier.
WRC - Portugal: Ostberg manages a 3m16.3s through the first split, 2s down on Ogier.

The two swapped positions on the last stage with Ostberg falling 2.6s behind the Volkswagen.
WRC - Portugal: Ogier is through the first split already. He set's a 3m14.3s, that's 0.5s quicker than Latvala's fastest time from that split this morning.
WRC - Portugal: Sebastien Ogier is into the final stage of the day and if the last stage was anything to go by, he's going to take some beating.
WRC - Portugal: David Evans has an update on the fire situation which caused the cancellation of SS5:

"The stage was cancelled on the order of the fire department for fear of the wind picking up and spreading the forest fires further.

"Fires are still burning in the woods in that area and this decision was considered force majeure."
Indy 500 - Carb Day Track inspection. Kanaan is stil fastest, with Charlie Kimball and Sage Karam behind him for a Ganassi 1-2-3 on the timing screens. It would have been a 1-2-3-4, but Chaves has squeezed into P4 just ahead of Dixon.
WRC - Portugal: Nasser Al-Attiyah is through the stage and fastest overall so far.He started the stage 7.3s down on WRC2 leader Karl Kruuda.

Kruuda hasn't started the stage yet and isn't due to do so for some time, so it will be a while before we can compare the leader's splits.
WRC - Portugal: WRC2 driver Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari had a front right puncture in that test, and he's going to fall further back from his previous sixth position before this stage.
WRC - Portugal: While we wait for the WRC drivers to get going on the next stage, it's time to catch up with WRC2.

Karl Kruuda had the lead before this stage, and only Jari Ketomaa has completed the stage so far. Looking at the splits, Ketomaa will take some beating.

"For me it's perfect," Ketomaa said when asked about the roughness of the surface upsetting some of the other drivers.
Indy 500 - Carb Day Not surprisingly, most of the drivers out on track are practicing running in packs. BHA rookie Gabby Chaves has just gone to P1 at 226.802mph ... and that lasted about 20s before Tony Kanaan popped up at 228.490mph. Scott Dixon is currently third-fastest.

We're 15 minutes into the session, and everyone has completed at least one lap except for Foyt's Alex Tagliani.
WRC - Portugal: 15 minutes to go until the final stage of the day; Viana do Castelo, at 16:25pm BST.

Our stage guide for today is Kris Meeke's co-driver, Paul Nagle, fresh off winning Rally Argentina last time out.

"This one’s quite similar in surface and nature to Caminha, but it’s really, really fast – much quicker by comparison," says Nagle.

"In the middle section we’ll be in fifth and sixth gear for the best part of 10 kilometres (six miles)."
WRC - Portugal: Let's recap SS6:

Ogier bounces back after sweeping the road and suffering a puncture this morning to win the stage. He also jumps Mads Ostberg for sixth.

Lot's of drivers complain about the rough surface of Caminha.

Latvala extends his lead over Meeke to 7.4s, with only 33.1s seperating the top eight.
WRC - Portugal: And the new rally order overall:

1 Latvala 55m49.3s
2 Meeke +7.4s
3 Mikkelsen +10.9s
4 Sordo +14.1s
5 Tanak 14.4s
6 Ogier 23.1s
WRC - Portugal: The top end of SS6:

1 Ogier 10m49.6s
2 Latvala +2.6s
3 Tanak +2.7s
4 Meeke +3.9s
5 Mikkelsen +4.3s
6 Sordo +4.4s
WRC - Portugal: Tanak is through and boy was that close. He's 09.1s down on Latvala and slots in third.

Apart from SS3, Tanak has had a brilliant rally so far.

"It's really rough, a very difficult job for a driver," says Tanak.

Lot's of drivers complaining about the roughness of the stage today.
Indy 500 - Carb Day And we're away. Polesitter Scott Dixon leads the queue of cars out of pitlane to start this 60 minute session.
WRC - Portugal: Latvala is through only 2.6s down on Ogier for second.

The only threat to the top end of the WRC order is Tanak, who should slot in third.
WRC - Portugal: Eyes turn to Latvala now, who had a 6.1s lead entering this stage over Meeke.

Latvala is the closest of any driver to Ogier's third split time, so likely Latvala will slot in second.
WRC - Portugal: Neuville has completed the stage, 8.9s down on Ogier's time.

Although he sounded reasonably happy at the stage end, he won't be pleased that Hyundai team-mate Sordo is 4.5s quicker than him.
Indy 500 - Carb Day We're five minutes away from the green flag for the final IndyCar practice session ahead of Sunday's Indy 500. Almost directly below AUTOSPORT's vantage point, Tristan Vautier is being strapped into the #18 Dale Coyne Racing entry. The Frenchman will replace Carlos Huertas, who has been ruled out of the race with an inner ear problem.
WRC - Portugal: Ott Tanak in the new-spec Fiesta has got closest to Ogier's first split, just 0.4s down.
WRC - Portugal: Meeke does indeed go second fastest.

"Incredibly rough, I don't know what to say," says Meeke.

While Meeke is in, rally leader Latvala ( 6.1s ahead of Meeke) is slower than the Northern Irishman in the first stint.
WRC - Portugal: Meeke will be next to finish the stage, he won't beat Ogier but looks set to go second fastest.
WRC - Portugal: Mikkelsen is through and goes second fastest, 4.3s down on Ogier.

Ogier's time looking increasingly impressive as more split times continue to come in.

"Wow, really rough, I'm surprised. We had the car too low," says Mikkelsen. It seems the drivers are struggling with the rough surface.
WRC - Portugal: It seems Ostberg has sacrificed this stage with his tyre choice.

"It was OK, We had our own tyre choice on this stage and i knew we would suffer on this stage."
WRC - Portugal: Ostberg has lost time in the third stint, and if it stays like this he will lose sixth overall to Ogier. He's 4.3s down at the final stint.

He comes through to finish the stage, 5s slower than Ogier.

That will indeed promote Ogier to sixth.
