WRC - Portugal: It's been an eventful day so far in the rallies' first return to Northern Portugal since the 2001 season.
That didn't go swimmingly either, as downpours before and during the event played havoc with the road conditions.
In an epic finale, Tommi Makinen held off Carlos Sainz for the win. That seems as good an excuse as any (not that we need one) to throw in a pic of a muddy Evo.

WRC - Portugal: If you missed the news earlier, fire's interfered with SS2, which then thwarted it's re-running as SS5, robbing us of the afternoon opener.

WRC - Portugal: Thanks to the fires that caused the cancellation of SS2, the corresponding Ponte de Lima test set to open this afternoon has been cancelled.

GP2 - Monaco: Vandoorne wins his third-straight feature race of the season. A commanding victory in the end, finishing 6.2s clear of Rossi.

"Stage two has been stopped. The organisers are worried about the forest fires in the area intensifying, so the decision has been taken to stop the stage, allowing fire crews access to the main area of concern, seven miles into the test.
"A spokesperson said: 'We want the stage to run this afternoon, but we have to be very careful about the fire - we have to take care, which is why the fire crews are going in.'
"Thirty-two crews (including Elfyn Evans, although the Welshman was an hour down) have now made it through the stage. The remainder of the field will be given notional times.
