IndyCar - Sonoma: White flag, one to go. Montoya is 1.6s behind Briscoe; Dixon is miles out in front.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Three laps to go, and as much as Montoya is surging, it looks like he will run out of laps. Dixon looks very comfortable.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Montoya is flying - Briscoe can now see him in his mirrors. The Australian is on the red tyres, so he can't have much grip left.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Four to go, Montoya trails Briscoe by 2.9s; Dixon looks comfortable in front.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Six laps to go. If Montoya can close down a 2.8s gap and pass Briscoe, he wins the title. If he doesn't, Dixon wins. Simple.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Drive-through penalty for Bourdais for contact.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Bourdais has a little damage to his wing, but the real question is whether he will get a penalty. Even if he does, Montoya needs to close down a three second gap to Briscoe.
IndyCar - Sonoma: That has moved Montoya up to seventh. He needs two more places to win the title, with eight laps to go.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Bourdais has tipped Rahal into a spin!
IndyCar - Sonoma: Ten laps to go. Montoya doesn't look like he can do anything about the cars ahead.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Kanaan, Briscoe, Rahal, Bourdais and Montoya are nose to tail.

IndyCar - Sonoma: That's obviously a caution.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Hawksworth and Sato spin; Munoz is stranded on top of the kerbs.
IndyCar - Sonoma: The restart is under review, but everyone is through the first couple of corners cleanly. Kanaan pulled a nice move on Hunter-Reay; Power let Montoya past.
Green flag
IndyCar - Sonoma: Restart

IndyCar - Sonoma: The Jakes crash was a strange one - he was braking and the car just snapped left - at a right-hand corner. Early indications are that it was a brake failure.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Pagenaud on the radio: 'Is this good or bad?' Team: 'Not good for us Might help your team-mates some'.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Jakes is fine - he's out of the car and standing there with his hands on his hips looking annoyed.
Yellow flag

IndyCar - Sonoma: Now Montoya pits from ninth.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Hunter-Reay briefly led after Dixon's stop, but the Andretti car swings onto pit road and Dixon reclaims P1.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Horrible luck for Newgarden, but it's part of the story of CFH Racing this year - lots of promise, occasionally wobbly execution. Rahal has also pitted and thrown on some new reds for what will probably be his final stop.
Newgarden is STILL in the pits.
Newgarden is STILL in the pits.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Newgarden pits from P2 - it's a slow stop; they have a problem with the starter - and now there's a small fuel fire. That gets put out quickly, but the car is still stationary.
Dixon pits from the lead.
Dixon pits from the lead.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Rahal is in a world of hurt with his tyres: 'I can't brake anywhere or I am just going to spin'.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Someone has gone off at Turn 6, but it looks like they kept going. Not sure who it was.
IndyCar - Sonoma: Ganassi's Saavedra is making life hell for Power. Montoya has made better progress and is 11th, but still has ground to make up to keep his title hopes alive - and he could have done without conceding a place to Kanaan just a moment ago.
IndyCar - Sonoma: It's also worth noting that Rahal is ahead of Montoya again, by two points. The current running order is Dixon, Newgarden, Rahal, Kimball, Briscoe.
IndyCar - Sonoma: And it has just changed again, because Kanaan has pitted and Dixon now leads, blowing his points lead out to 20 points. Montoya is 13th and has a lot of work to do.
