MotoGP - Sachsenring: As Simeon leads away the Moto2 field for their formation lap, a look at the Moto3 points. It's pretty much as you were, with Salom extending his lead slightly over Vinales, while Rins' Jerez DNF is still hurting his title challenge - despite victory today.

Auto GP - Mugello: Giovesi, who abandoned his GP2 campain with Lazurus earlier this year to focus on Auto GP, has held off Karthikeyan by 0.529s to claim his maiden victory.
Moto2 - Sachsenring: Xavier Simeon is preparing to lead a Moto2 field away for the first time. He had a hefty shunt in morning warm-up, but he's ready to go from pole after that cracking qualifying effort - Simeon's never been on the front row in Moto2 before!
Auto GP - Mugello: Giovesi pits from the lead on lap 12, and rejoins with a 1s advantage over Karthikeyan.

IndyCar - Toronto: A big change to the race one results in Canada, as officials decided to rescind Dario Franchitti's penalty for his incident with Will Power:

Auto GP - Mugello: Giovesi and Karthikeyan are matching each other for pace. The Italian continues to lead, while Karthikeyan has made his mandatory tyre change and is running fifth.
Auto GP - Mugello: Karthikeyan is reducing Giovesi's lead by a tenth or two a lap. The gap stands at 2.4s.
Ghirelli is 3.5s back in third. Polesitter Christian Klien had a disappointing start and after taking an early mandatory pitstop is running in 14th.

Auto GP - Mugello: Kevin Giovesi has made a great start from seventh to lead the opening lap.
Super Nova's Narain Karthikeyan and Vittorio Ghirelli moved up into second and third position respectively after successive passes on Yoshitaka Kuroda at the first corner.

Indy Lights - Toronto: The only major series that wrapped up all its action on Saturday this weekend was Indy Lights.
Its only Canadian round of the season was no thriller, but McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award finalist Jack Hawksworth's return to the top step has brought him back into outside title contention.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Rins is second ahead of Vinales but with two to go Salom has bolted - he's got a couple of bikes' lengths advantage. Oliveira and Marquez are scrapping hard for fourth.

European F3 - Norisring: So it's a comfortable win for Rosenqvist from Marciello, Lynn, Blomqvist, Sims, Auer, Derani, Tincknell, King and Muller.
Moto3 - Sachsenring: Mistake from Rins allows Vinales into the lead - but then Salom nails both! It's like Assen all over again, leaving it late to hit the front.

Pedrosa ruled out of German GP
So no Pedrosa, no Lorenzo, Marquez starts first ahead of a battered Crutchlow and a fired-up Rossi. This could be a big weekend for a title race that currently looks like this:

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Just behind the leaders is a Marquez-led near-quartet. Miller's fallen to the back of that group, which also includes Oliveira and Vazquez. Folger, meanwhile, is down in eighth.
Moto3 - Sachsenring: A change for the lead - Vinales hits the front, and it was made very easy by Rins, who doesn't fancy being at the head of this trio at the moment.
European F3 - Norisring: Auer, fifth, taps Blomqvist and damages his front wing. Sims has now passed him.
Moto3 - Sachsenring: At one-third distance, Rins has a slight advantage over the inseparable Salom and Vinales - who have just swapped places. Miller has dropped back to sixth, behind Marquez and Vazquez.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Like he did at Assen, Rins has tried to break away in the early stages but the chasing pack is hauling him back in.

Moto3 - Sachsenring: Rins gets away well and the field filters through Turn 1 without incident - though Jonas Folger gets shuffled back as he runs wide. At the end of the first lap, Salom holds second while Jack Miller is frustrating Maverick Vinales by holding third.
European F3 - Norisring: Getting set for the third race of what has been an, erm, unusual weekend... Of the top 10 on the grid, only Auer and Serralles have no new tyres left to use.
Marciello, Rosenqvist, Lynn, Blomqvist, Sims, Tincknell and Derani have new bags on the left side, while Kvyat has a complete set to use. Of this 10, Rosenqvist, Sims and Derani are using single-plane rear wing to boost straight-line speed.

European F3 - Norisring: Rosenqvist finished both of yesterday's races second on the road, but was never officially classified due to his 'racing under appeal' status.
If AUTOSPORT's maths is correct, that means that at a stroke Rosenqvist's deficit to Marciello in the championship is reduced from 70.5 points to 31.5.

...it was won on the road by Raffaele Marciello, then given to Tom Blomqvist as half the field got penalties, while Felix Rosenqvist remained convinced he would eventually win, but in the end it was given back to Marciello again.
Thankfully things calmed down for race two, where Alex Lynn passed the chequered flag first to take victory in the traditional way. And as we've reached Sunday morning without any penalties, it looks like he'll keep it...

European F3 - Norisring: AUTOSPORT has just been informed that Felix Rosenqvist has been reinstated to his race results in yesterday's races.
The Swede was racing under appeal after his post-qualifying fuel sample was found to have irregularities.
Following an investigation by race officials, it has now been decided that there was, in fact, no wrongdoing.

One car lost a wheel on the formation lap, shortly before Pieter Schothorst's car cut out alongside the grid - prompting an extra warm-up lap.
Once the race got underway Jaap van Lagen, Christian Engelhart and Philipp Eng - all running in the top five - got together and spun at The Esses on the first lap.
Eng then half-spun at the very next turn and was collected heavily by Florian Schholze, putting both out.
And now leader Kevin Estre has been given a drive-through penalty for jumping the start, handing the advantage to Norbert Siedler.

DTM - Norisring: Honours in the Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup went, for a third race in succession, to series leader Kelvin van der Linde, who beat Michele Gatting and Manuel Fahnauer.
Brit Ross Wylie retired on the opening lap while Nicola Larini was another DNF. Best of the 'Legends' competitors was Marco Werner, fifth.
Marco was later spotted tapping his foot along to yet another cover version of a record by 'The Gossip' at the VW party. That's right, The Gossip. They may have had a shelf life of 10 minutes in the UK, but they're big news in Germany.
Auto GP - Mugello: Van Buuren's penalty also hands Christian Klien pole position for this morning's reversed-grid race.
