FIA GT - Zandvoort: Mercedes to the fore. Maximilian Buhk and Sergei Afanasiev top the times again for Charouz Gravity. Best of the rest is Caca Bueno for BMW Team Brazil
V8 Supercars - Townsville: Ooops. Davison's victory donut isn't the tidiest and includes a smack of the wall with the car's rear...
FIA GT - Zandvoort: It's been a long time since Zolder, so just in case you had forgotten, there are two 15-minutes sessions - one for each driver - and then SuperPole for the fastest 10 cars. That's not drivers, but cars. Monk D'Wally de Honk could be fastest in one of the sessions, but team-mate Toxteth O'Grady would do SuperPole because he had been nominated for SuperPole before the session.

V8 Supercars - Townsville - race one results: 1 W Davison; 2 Winterbottom; 3 Coulthard; 4 Lowndes; 5 Bright; 6 Courtney; 7 Whincup; 8 Tander; 9 A Davison; 10 Mostert.
V8 Supercars - Townsville: We're onto the last lap, FPR is on for its one-two and Lowndes should hang on ahead of Bright.
FIA GT - Zandvoort: Both races this weekend will be streamed live on AUTOSPORT.
So you'll need three tabs this afternoon: AUTOSPORT GP Live for German Grand Prix qualifying, AUTOSPORT Race Centre Live for all the F3, FIA GT, GP2, GP3, IndyCar and European Rallycross action, and our dedicated live video page for the FIA GT qualifying race from Zandvoort.

V8 Supercars - Townsville: If you close your eyes, it'll seem like Lowndes is about to be passed by a tractor. Jason Bright's Brad Jones Holden has a broken header, but is still going rapidly in fifth.
FIA GT - Zandvoort: Qualifying is underway. Just 20 cars here at the former home of the Dutch Grand Prix. No Vita4One BMW - team boss Michael Bartels insists nothing was ever confirmed. Suspiciously, his trucks are in the paddock, but then Vita4One does help run the BMW Team India car and he was out testing down the road at Spa in the week.
V8 Supercars - Townsville: Lowndes has dropped 10 seconds off the lead and now Coulthard is through into third.

Nationwide Daytona
NASCAR - Daytona: While Race Centre Live was sleeping, the first big race of NASCAR's summer Daytona weekend took place.
This late crash in the Nationwide race led to a green-white-chequered finish, in which Matt Kenseth and James Buescher surged through to first and second.
Kenseth qualified on the front row for tonight's Sprint Cup race, with his Joe Gibbs team-mate Kyle Busch on pole.
V8 Supercars - Townsville: Where's championship leader and incessant race-winner Jamie Whincup?
Only seventh, but that's a pretty good save. Triple 8 had a horrible time in qualifying this morning and while Lowndes qualified 12th, Whincup was only 16th. He's made steady progress forwards through the race.

V8 Supercars - Townsville: Winterbottom gets past Lowndes for second.
V8 Supercars - Townsville: Davison is now right on Lowndes with 13 laps to go.
The Ford slices down the insisde and Lowndes doesn't fight too hard.
Winterbottom and Fabian Coulthard are now hunting Lowndes down, but there's still a big question mark over the softs' longevity.

Also coming up this morning, FIA GT Series and Masters of Formula 3 qualifying from Zandvoort, plus the battle for GP3 Series pole at the Nurburgring.
V8 Supercars - Townsville: Craig Lowndes used soft tyres to surge from 12th on the grid to first and then establish a 20-second lead in the first stint, but now he's on hard tyres and everyone else is on softs.
Will Davison and Mark Winterbottom are hunting the slowing leader down, and with 16 laps to go Lowndes' lead is down to five seconds.
But the Ford Performance Racing cars are going for very long stints on softs, will their rubber fade away at the end?

NASCAR - Daytona: Kyle Busch's thoughts on pole:
"It's pretty cool. It's a testament to the team. That's what it comes down to here: having a slick race car with a lot of horsepower. It's great to have so many Toyotas at the front."

V8 Supercars - Townsville: First action of Saturday will come from the streets of Townsville in Australia, where V8 Supercars race one will be off at 5.35am GMT.
We'll cover the deciding laps on Race Centre Live, with AUTOSPORT's full report online to be some breakfast reading for European readers.
James Courtney was fastest in Friday practice in his Holden, though the current tyre rules mean it is very hard to read a lot into the practice sessions, with different teams using different compounds at different times
NASCAR - Daytona: Joe Gibbs is poised for a Daytona front row sweep unless Bobby Labonte (back in the JTG Daugherty car this weekend while AJ Allmendinger returns to Phoenix) or Ricky Stenhouse Jr can do something sensational.
ALMS - Lime Rock: Poles for Pickett, Level 5, CORE Autosport, Rahal Letterman Lanigan BMW and Flying Lizard.

ALMS - Lime Rock: Corvette driver Tommy Milner's thoughts on qualifying, BMW's pace and his perspiration:
"Awful service at the track here - OG [Oliver Gavin] went P3 in quali - not bad but the Manure Wagons are pretty fast. It's also super schwetty up here."

Austin Dillon
NASCAR - Daytona: After Cup qualifying is over, the Nationwide race takes place this evening. Earlier today Austin Dillon stuck his Richard Childress Chevrolet on pole, then donned a substantial hat.
NASCAR - Daytona: Kurt Busch has been one of the stars of recent rounds for Furniture Row. Daytona might be tougher to crack though, he's only 20th in qualifying.
ALMS - Lime Rock: Pickett reckons Luhr's 44.396s will do for pole. The German's back in the pits as Dyson pounds around trying to close the gap.
Level 5 has now moved to first and second in LMP2, Briscoe ahead of Franchitti.

ALMS - Lime Rock: Extreme Speed pair Johannes van Overbeek and Scott Sharp lead LMP2 right now, but Level 5 duo Marino Franchitti and Ryan Briscoe have yet to show their hand.
NASCAR - Daytona: Crowd favourite Dale Earnhardt Jr is only 14th after his run.
NASCAR - Daytona: Clint Bowyer restores Toyota's one-two-three on the grid as he goes to third for Waltrip behind the two Gibbs cars.
ALMS - Lime Rock: Lucas Luhr puts Pickett's HPD on provisional pole by 1.4s over Chris Dyson.
Dyson is short of track time having had to change an engine this morning after a misfire.
The team's championship's prospects also look bleak, with Dyson and co-driver Guy Smith yet to score.
Rebellion began the season as Pickett's main threat, but is not contesting Lime Rock.
There is a third LMP1 entry though, with the DeltaWing running in that category. It's currently 11th overall with Andy Meyrick.

ALMS - Lime Rock: The main event is here, as LMP1 and LMP2 qualifying begin.
NASCAR - Daytona: It may be an all-Joe Gibbs front row at present, but the third car of Denny Hamlin is only 18th. He's another man who comes to Daytona keen to turn things around after a tough Kentucky.

His team-mate Jeff Gordon is only 17th, while Dale Earnhardt Jr and Jimmie Johnson have yet to run.

ALMS - Lime Rock: We're in the thick of LMPC qualifying so there's a pack of what were once known as Formula Le Mans cars on track.
Jon Bennett went off the road in the CORE Autosport #05 car right at the end of the practice session that ran just before qualifying, but the car was quickly repaired and Colin Braun has put it on provisional pole right now.
RSR's Bruno Junqueira is second, 0.11s down.
