MotoGP - Misano: Rough start to the day for Spain's rising stars in the Monlau Moto3 squad.

Both Alex Marquez and Alex Rins have just had big crashes in the Misano warm-up. They're unhurt.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Erebus team owner Betty Klimenko brings news on Holdsworth: "His ankle is a little sore, but he's fine. The safety cell did its job."
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Whincup has just set the fastest lap of the day and is starting to pull away from Courtney. Positions still stable from third down to 10th with 11 laps to go.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Five laps to go and the Whincup's advantage is now 4.382s. Lowndes is right on Tander's bumper and looking to make the final podium position. Even if he doesn't, he'll move up to second in the championship today.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Pye takes fifth from van Gisbergen, who appears to have a power steering issue.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Lowndes continues to make a late charge on Tander for third. There's less than half a second between the two Holdens with three laps to go.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Final lap and Whincup is cruising to his second successive Sandown win.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Whincup wins by 2.65s to take his 59th V8 Supercars victory. "Nice work! Apparently we can't win from pole," he jokes.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: Courtney comes him second and Tander managed to hold off a determined Lowndes for third. Pye scores a well deserved fifth for Dick Johnson Racing.
V8 Supercars - Sandown: The final results:

1 Whincup/Dumbrell
2 Courtney/Murphy
3 Tander/Luff
4 Lowndes/Richards
5 Pye/Walsh
6 Van Gisbergen/Webb
ELMS - Paul Ricard: Qualifying for the four-hour European Le Mans Series race at Paul Ricard is under way now.

The GTE and GTC pack have the first session to themselves, and it's currently Andrea Bertolini on top in the SMP Ferrari by two tenths over Giacomo Piccini's Kessel version as the chequered flag comes out.

SMP heads GTC too with Luca Persiani beating the ART McLaren of Kevin Korjus.

NASCAR - Chicagoland: The first part of the revamped NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase begins at Chicagoland later today.

Late last night European time, the Nationwide and Truck Series had their races, and both were won by drivers set to be major protagonists in what unfolds in the main championship over the next two months.

Kyle Busch has pole for the Cup race due to his practice performance after rain on Friday, and he beat Austin Dillon to take the Truck win last night too.

Many rivals believe Kevin Harvick has been the benchmark driver through the main season this year since joining Stewart-Haas. He warmed up for the Chicagoland weekend by winning the Nationwide round ahead of Kyle Larson.
This is the schedule for our main events on AUTOSPORT Race Centre Live today - all times UK:

08:40: Misano MotoGP warm-up
09:00: Hungaroring Formula Renault 3.5 qualifying
10:00: Misano Moto3 race
11:20: Misano Moto2 race
12:30: Lausitzring DTM race
13:00: Hungaroring Formula Renault 3.5 race
13:00: Misano MotoGP race

And we'll also have updates from the Ricard ELMS event and the British Formula 3 finale at Donington Park through the morning, plus more Rally Australia reaction.
ELMS - Paul Ricard: Eventful start as Matt McMurry spins the Greaves Zytek in a big way under braking for the first corner. No times set by any of the frontrunners yet.

Harry Tincknell has put the Jota Sport car on pole for all three races so far this season. As the big guns now emerge, we're about to see if he can keep that up.
MotoGP - Misano: The warm-up gets going for MotoGP's San Marino Grand Prix.

Will this be the day when Yamaha finally wins a race for the first time in 2014?

Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are both on the front row, Marc Marquez isn't - for the first time since Barcelona in June 2013.

Misano MotoGP qualifying report
ELMS - Paul Ricard: Jota's hopes of another pole face a challenge at the moment - Nathanael Berthon has currently got the Murphy ORECA-Nissan on provisional pole ahead of Tincknell.
MotoGP - Misano: Marquez currently leads the way in this morning's warm-up session with a time of 1m34.023s. The runaway points leader is 0.348s ahead of Yamaha duo Rossi and Lorenzo.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Not long to go until the start of qualifying 2 here in Hungary, where yet again weather conditions are gloomy. It hasn't rained again since the huge storms overnight, but the track is still pretty wet.

If we don't get any rain in the 30 minute session (starting at the top of the hour) then it's likely to be a race to be last man over the line in the fight for pole.
ELMS - Paul Ricard: Berthon hangs on, so it's Murphy Prototypes on pole ahead of Jota Sport.

Christian Klien placed the Morand car third.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Treacherous conditions can make these sessions a lottery, and championship leader Carlos Sainz Jr paid the price for not getting a 'banker' lap in yesterday which left him 14th on the grid.

The Spaniard aborted a decent lap because he felt he'd made a mistake, so he backed off to guarantee clear track for his next attempt. However, he didn't get to complete another lap as the session was red-flagged. Lesson learned...
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: The pits are open, and everybody heads out on wets. There's not much standing water out there, but dry patches are few and far between.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Teams were surprised yesterday at how slowly the track dried during the race. If that's the case again today perhaps they will be cautious with switching over to slicks in this qualifying session.
MotoGP - Misano: It looked like Marquez would top his first session this weekend, but that was until Pol Espargaro and Rossi made late gains. The Italian went quickest in the dying moment with a 1m33.965s, with Espargaro and Marquez finishing second and third respectively.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Sainz shows how slippery it is out there in these early stages, as he slides off at Turn 9 on his first flying lap.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: The early pace is already in the 1m51s range, which was the fastest lap in yesterday's race when the track was slightly drier. None of the drivers felt the track was ready for slicks during the race though, so perhaps the times need to drop even further before anyone takes a gamble.
MotoGP - Misano: Here's how the top six stacked up in that warm-up session:

1 Rossi 1m33.965; 2 P. Espargaro +0.030s; 3 Marquez +0.058s; 4 Lorenzo +0.287s; 5 Iannone +0.430s; 6 Smith +0.468s.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Some of the straights are developing a dry line, but it's not a lot of use to the drivers as most of the corners (and braking zones) are still damp.

We're nine minutes in here and the top five is: Sainz; Rowland; Gasly; Nato; Merhi.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: With 10 minutes down Sainz is the first of the frontrunners to return to the pits. The DAMS crew wheels him back into the garage - will this be for a change to slicks?

Gasly leads Tunjo at the head of the times now.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: With most of the field staying out on wets, and yesterday's front row starters Gasly and Rowland setting an ever-improving pace out front, DAMS is indeed getting to work and readying slick tyres for Sainz.

That's not always the sort of gamble you're likely to see from the driver with a points lead to protect. Sainz is currently P7. On track, yesterday's winner (and his closest rival) Merhi goes third, while more and more cars now start to make their way to the pits.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Slicks are the order of the day now as everyone comes in. By coming in early, has Sainz given DAMS more time to make adjustments to his car? If he can get out before everyone else, perhaps he can be the first driver to get some temperature into the dry-weather tyres first, potentially giving him more attempts at a flying lap.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Several drivers made 'racing' pitstops there, simply taking on a set of slicks and heading straight back out. Sainz, who was the first to return to the pits to lose his wets, is about 10th to head back out.

12 minutes to go here and he's 10th in the standings at the moment, so he can't afford a mistake here on these slicks. Other drivers played it safe and put in more laps on wets as the track was drying.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: By staying out longer than anyone else on wets, Vaxiviere leads the way at the moment from Gasly, Rowland and Merhi.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Sainz's first sector on a hot lap on slicks is only half a second down on his best on wets. With seven minutes still go here, this session is surely going to come down to who can go the best job on slicks.

Sure enough, Sainz finds a huge chunk of time in the middle sector, but in the end he slots into second - 1.3s behind a cracking effort from Rowland.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Big crash for newcomer Ocon and the red flags are flying with 5m28s on the clock.

Ocon gives marshals the thumbs up and eventually climbs out of the car unaided. He's done a lot of damage though.

Replays show the car snapped right on him through the fast Turn 10 left-hander, spearing him into the barriers.

WRC - Australia: Driving the stages is a must in Australia – partly to see just what absolute heroes the likes of Sebastien Ogier and Elfyn Evans are, but equally you do get the chance to see some pretty odd animals.

Odd and unexpected was this lama in the northernmost stages. It's a long way from South America…
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: A second angle of the Ocon shunt shows that one of the Hungaroring's few remaining gravel traps launched his car off the ground just before he clouted the tyre wall. That was a big one.

Ocon, who scored points on his debut yesterday, has had his best lap deleted for causing the red flag and drops to 18th. That's probably going to be last by the time everyone has gone back out on a quickly-drying track.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: As the session restarts the order is as follows:

1 Jaafar; 2 Rowland; 3 Sainz; 4 van Buuren; 5 Vaxiviere; 6 Gasly; 7 Merhi; 8 Tunjo.

With just five minutes on the clock this is all going to come down to who can combine some clear track with getting his slicks up to temperature.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Small drama for Rowland, whose car briefly resists the idea of firing up and heading out of the pits.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Sainz is the first man to start a flying lap, but he has a huge slide (and subsequently a lock-up) at Turn 9.

Despite that, he still goes fastest (briefly), showing how much the track is improving. Merhi then takes P1.
MotoGP - Misano: Huge crowd turnout at Misano already, and a lot of yellow flags with #46 on them in the grandstands.

It's a sunny morning, no repeat of Friday's rain, and there's a very high chance of a home-crowd-pleasing podium with Valentino Rossi and the Ducatis all looking very quick all weekend.
