FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Merhi is the last driver to get in before the flag comes out. He's currently P1, and this could be crucial as the track keeps improving.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Only Sainz, Nato and Merhi manage to sneak another lap in before the chequered flag comes out, so this comes down to an exclusive fight between those three on a drying track as Rowland is the best of the rest in fourth as he takes the chequered flag.
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Sainz is first across the line, and he manages to beat Merhi's benchmark. Nato is next up and slots into second, so now we wait for Merhi to cross the line...
FR3.5 - Hungaroring: Merhi takes pole by three tenths of a second! He will share the front row with Sainz, who he has been chasing down in the title race over the last few rounds.

Nato and Rowland will share row two, with Tunjo and van Buuren giving Pons a lockout of row three.

Gasly is seventh having struggled for clear track in those closing stages, while Jaafar - who was fastest before the red flag - drops to 16th.
The final day of racing at the 17th Goodwood Revival is about to get under way. Be sure to follow all the action and the stars with commentary from AUTOSPORT's very own MARCUS PYE.
Moto3 - Misano: Alex Rins has taken control of the first half of this Moto3 race, although by 'control' we mean 'a lead of 1.3s', which is a relative mile in Moto3 terms.

Still 13 laps to go, though, so plenty of chance for him to be reeled in.
Moto3 - Misano: Front row qualifier Niki Ajo had tumbled from second down to 14th in the early laps, and his race has now ended with a crash.
Moto3 - Misano: Alex Marquez is second and has closed a little on Rins. He's has being caught by championship leader Jack Miller, who is running third.

The main pack in this race is the fight for fourth. Isaac (cousin of last year's champion Maverick) Vinales leads a nine-bike gaggle, with Valentino Rossi's protege Romano Fenati in the middle of it in ninth.
Moto3 - Misano: There's another Rossi-mentored talent in that group too. Andrea Migno, an 18-year-old Italian, is making his second appearance of the year with Mahindra and has established himself in the top 10.

He normally rides for a VR46-affiliated team in the Italian series.
Moto3 - Misano: Migno has just had a very-elbows-heavy moment in that pack with Vinales, Efren Vazquez and Alexis Masbou. Migno came out best and has popped up to seventh ahead of Fenati.
Moto3 - Misano: Up front, the battle is starting to come alive after a very spread out first half of the race.

Rins's lead over Monlau team-mate Marquez is down to 0.6s.

Rins finally got his first win of 2014 at Silverstone a fortnight ago, which boosted his title hopes... and also raised the prospect of the two young Spaniards on the Monlau Hondas taking points off each other and letting Miller escape.

Right now Miller is 2s back in third, but Rins and Marquez starting to dice with each other could be the lifeline he needs.
Moto3 - Misano: Smart stuff from Marquez at the moment. He's slotted in behind Rins and isn't challenging yet, and that's letting them edge further away from Miller.

The points leader is now three seconds behind the two Hondas.
Moto3 - Misano: Meanwhile in the fight for fourth, another exciting young Italian is making great progress - Gresini's teenager Enea Bastianini has reached fourth place.

Rossi had some very glowing things to say about Bastianini earlier this week...

Migno is now eighth, Fenati ninth.

Title threats Masbou and Vazquez are seventh and 10th.

Top Brits Danny Kent and John McPhee are 11th and 13th.
Moto3 - Misano: Two laps to go and Marquez makes his move for the lead - bold stuff through a small gap in a rapid part of the track.

Rins is right back at him though. Onto the last lap...
Moto3 - Misano: Rins edges alongside Marquez again, but the leader is fast enough under braking and stays ahead for now.
Moto3 - Misano: Now Rins drafts ahead, last few corners to go...
Moto3 - Misano: Marquez tries to slipstream back in front out of the final corner but Rins hangs on to win by just 0.042s.

That's Rins's second victory in a row, and with Miller third, Marquez is still nine points behind the Australian in the standings.

V8 Supercars - Sandown: Jamie Whincup and Paul Dumbrell recorded a second consecutive victory at Sandown today.

The Triple Eight duo took their flawless victory from pole - the first time anyone has done so since 1996.

Whincup's team-mate Craig Lowndes couldn't deny Garth Tander his first podium finish at Sandown, but fourth was good enough to move Lowndes up to second in the championship, surpassing Mark Winterbottom and leading him by just six points.

Championship standings after 29 of 37 rounds:

1 Jamie Whincup 2325
2 Craig Lowndes 2052
3 Mark Winterbottom 2046
4 Shane van Gisbergen 1982
5 James Courtney 1964
6 Fabian Coulthard 1856

(50-300 points for race win depending on event format)

Moto3 - Misano - result:

1 Alex Rins
2 Alex Marquez
3 Jack Miller
4 Isaac Vinales
5 Enea Bastianini
6 Brad Binder
7 Alexis Masbou
8 Andrea Migno
9 Juanfran Guevera
10 Efren Vazquez

Fenati only 11th, ahead of Kent and McPhee.

Remy Gardner - son of legend Wayne - was 27th on his grand prix debut.
Over at the Goodwood Revival, it's time for the 1950s F1 cars, with Scarab currently leading Lotus and TecMec Maserati. Watch the battle here.

WRC - Australia: Sebastien Ogier led Volkswagen's first podium clean sweep in Australia today as the German squad secured its second consecutive WRC manufacturers' title.

The reigning champion held off Jari-Matti Latvala in a close final leg to win the three-day gravel event by 6.8s. Andreas Mikkelsen completed the podium to lockout third, a further 1m11.2s.

Ogier's win today is the 22nd of his career and the sixth of the season, which moves him even closer to a second drivers' title as he leads Latvala by 50 points with three events remaining.

Championship standings after 10 of 13 rounds:

1 Sebastien Ogier 214
2 Jari-Matti Latvala 164
3 Andreas Mikkelsen 125
4 Mikko Hirvonen 83
5 Thierry Neuville 79
6 Mads Ostberg 74

(25 for win, 3 for powerstage victory)

DTM - Lausitzring: It's another very grey day here at the Lausitzring, but the good news is that the clouds, while constantly spitting out rain, are high enough that the medical helicopter isn't grounded.

We're just under 90 minutes from race time, and while Wehrlein made the headlines yesterday by becoming the youngest ever pole-sitter in the DTM, today it's all about BMW's Marco Wittmann. Starting from seventh, he'll be looking to wrap up the title with two rounds to spare.

So, how can he do it? To put it simply he has to stop Ekstrom or Mortara out-scoring him by more than 14 points. Even simpler, he needs to finish fourth. Even if Ekstrom or Mortara win the race, fourth will give Wittmann the title.
Goodwood Revival: A dramatic final lap in the 1950s F1 encounter as leader Julian Bronson's Scarab pulls off, leaving the Lotus 16 of Roger Wills to win. Coverage here.
Moto2 - Misano: We're on the warm-up lap for the Moto2 race now.

Mika Kallio, who slipped 17 points behind Marc VDS team-mate and title rival Tito Rabat with that dramatic Silverstone defeat, beat the Spaniard to pole by just 0.067s yesterday.
Moto2 - Misano: Kallio holds the lead at the start ahead of Rabat, as Ricky Cardus burst through from row three to third.

Tom Luthi had qualified third, only 0.004s off Rabat and 0.071s from pole, but he's fallen straight back to sixth.
British F3 - Donington Park: This has been a very sorry season for British F3, but if nothing else at least the title battle is going down to the wire.

Matt Rao currently leads race two from Martin Cao, which will keep things open heading into this afternoon's season - and perhaps series - finale.
Porsche Golf Buggy

Porsche Golf Buggy

DTM - Lausitzring: While not strictly DTM related, we couldn't go past giving you a look at the official golf buggy of Germany's Porsche Carrera Cup. Imagine rocking up for 18 holes at your local course with your clubs on the back of this...
Moto2 - Misano: Kallio is trying to dismiss his rivals' chances from the outset and leads Rabat by 1.6s after just three laps.

But he pulled away early on at Silverstone (and elsewhere) this year only to kill his tyres and get reeled in.

Johann Zarco, on the Caterham Suter (and Tony Fernandes does still own the motorbike team), is now ahead of Cardus for third.
Moto2 - Misano: A notable change in the Caterham ranks this weekend.

American hope Josh Herrin, last year's AMA Superbike champion, has had a horrible, injury-wracked, point-less time in Moto2 and parted with the team after Silverstone.

Long-time Moto2 rider Ratthapark Wilairot is back in his place... and is running roughly where Herrin had been, in 25th.

Speaking of substitutes that made no difference, anyone noticed Alex de Angelis in MotoGP since he replaced Colin Edwards? Thought not.

Perhaps Aleix Espargaro is just exceptionally good on the other Forward Yamaha...
Pascal Wehrlein at the Lausitzring

Pascal Wehrlein at the Lausitzring

DTM - Lausitzring: Yesterday, Pascal Wehrlein (19 years old) became the youngest ever polesitter in DTM history. Here's what he had to say.

"It feels great. It was really hard today, the conditions were very tricky. We just put it all together. I had a very good lap, and I'm really proud.

"Today was not the best day for the drivers, because we only had 15 minutes free practice, and you can't really go for a good set-up. With the conditions, with everything, it was so difficult.

"You can't really do a lot. You have to have a good starting set-up, and then you can do some small things, because we only had a break of 30 minutes so it wasn't enough to change the whole car. So you have to have a good starting set-up, then get confident with the track, confident with the conditions and then put it together."
Moto3 - Misano: Continuing AUTOSPORT Race Centre Live's two-wheeled arm's habit of using an uneventful Moto2 race to talk about other stuff, here's what the Moto3 points table looks like after Rins and Marquez's photo-finish today:

Championship standings after 13 of 18 rounds:

1 Jack Miller 195
2 Alex Marquez 186
3 Alex Rins 175
4 Efren Vazquez 151
5 Romano Fenati 140
6 Alexis Masbou 134

(25 points for a win)

DTM - Lausitzring: There's been a couple of grid penalties handed out overnight. Martin Tomczyk and Augusto Farfus were both found guilty of impeding other drivers while exiting pitlane during qualifying. Farfus will now start 20th, while Tomczyk will start last.
Moto2 - Misano: And it's happened again: Rabat keeps his pace up, Kallio's begins to fade, and the two Marc VDS bikes are right together for the lead.
Moto2 - Misano: Early third-place man Cardus had fallen to seventh and has now crashed out.
Rusty bus

Rusty bus

WRC - Australia: Roughly halfway through the Shipmans stage, which featured twice in today's final leg, there's a house. It's hard to say if the house is an ongoing development project or falling down around its owner's ears.

The house probably warranted a picture, but the rusting Routemaster resting in the garden definitely did.

An old London bus was pretty high on the list of things we didn't expect to see in the middle of New South Wales nowhere.
DTM - Lausitzring: Here's a look at the full final grid, complete with starting tyre choices – which, unless there is a drastic change in the weather, will be not applicable as everyone will be on wets. Still, interesting that so few drivers are even bothering to consider gambling on standards for the first stint at this stage of the season...

Moto2 - Misano: As Kallio continues to keep Rabat at arm's length and Zarco runs a solid third, 2015 Suzuki MotoGP man (unofficially) Maverick Vinales is having a great dice with Dominique Aegerter for fourth.
DTM - Lausitzring: Every time there is a bit of weather around, expect Jamie Green to be near the front. He'll be starting third today, and if it's wet, will almost certainly be a pace-setter. Here's what he had to say about yesterday's weather-affected day of running.

"I think it's easier to over-think things when you've got too much time on your hands. You can over-analyse stuff. At the end of the day when you get on track, it just comes down to the same old things of the car, the balance, and your driving abilities.

"Today, I think, was a good test for everyone because we didn't have much time to feel our way in. We had to adapt to the conditions. It was a challenging qualifying but enjoyable at the same time.

"I'm pretty satsifed. I think pace-wise we weren't far away, and for sure there is a tenth or more left in my car. That's how it is in qualifying, sometimes you nail the lap, sometimes you don't quite get it. But I think from third I've got a good chance tomorrow."

The big question is this: if Green is quicker than Ekstrom in the opening stages of the race, will he be allowed past his fellow Audi? Or will team orders come into play?

Goodwood Revival: Not long until AUTOSPORT's very own BEN ANDERSON is in action in part two of the St Mary's Trophy.

But in the meantime, we expect he's in here: the very civilised drivers' lounge.
