GP3 - Silverstone: AUTOSPORT's pre-session ritual of checking the puddle on the Caterham truck's roof in the F1 paddock and then looking out of the window of the cafe tells us two things: It's not raining but cars are on wets in the pitlane.

ERC - Ypres: Leader Freddy Loix ends SS3 giggling hysterically about a near-miss with an electricity pylon near the end of the stage.
GP3 - Silverstone: Practice for GP3 isn't far away, as the series makes its first appearance on the Formula 1 bill since Barcelona nearly two months ago.
Since then it's had its own standalone event at Valencia, and with four different winners from four rounds so far the title battle is yet to take shape.

ERC - Ypres: With rain falling, conditions are getting very treacherous in Belgium.
If Loix found SS2 uncomfortable, for his less experienced rivals it's been a nightmare so far.
Breen had a few moments, while Paddon described his stage as "rubbish" as he lost nearly a minute to the leaders.

GP2 - Silverstone: The chequered flag falls on an almost empty circuit thanks to that pesky rain shower. Marcus Ericsson takes his second pole for DAMS this year, his 1m40.716s being 0.371s clear of Sam Bird, who is running his Russian Time entry in the colours of the Halow charity this weekend.
GP2's 'Mr Consistency' Felipe Nasr will start third for Carlin, ahead of points leader Stefano Coletti. Stephane Richelmi and Fabio Leimer are next up. Rio Haryanto and Mitch Evans will start from row four, ahead of Tom Dillmann and James Calado.

ERC - Ypres: Hayden Paddon reports that he went off through a potato field on the very first corner of the rally.
That cost him the 2011 Production WRC champion about 20 seconds.

GP2 - Silverstone: Still six minutes to go, the session is already effectively over unless it dries miraculously quickly. This will be Marcus Ericsson's second pole of 2013. Let's hope it brings better luck than Barcelona, where he was taken out.
Big losers in this session have been James Calado (10th), Robin Frijns (16th) and Jolyon Palmer (20th).

GP2 - Silverstone: James Calado's onboard camera, and his split times, are showing that the rain is having an adverse effect - the pitlane remains full when it would normally be emptying for the second runs.

GP2 - Silverstone: Adrian Quaife-Hobbs escapes a big spin at Copse, just missing the barrier. Meanwhile, practice pacesetter Fabio Leimer also has a big moment there, and is sixth quickest at present.

ERC - Ypres: The R5 cars of Thierry Neuville (Ford) and Kris Meeke (Peugeot) have come through a slippery and muddy first stage.
The next generation machines are running as course cars this weekend as a demonstration of what the ERC's future holds.
Seven-time Ypres winner Freddy Loix will lead the actual field through in a few minutes.

ERC - Ypres: Cars have taken the ceremonial start and are now heading towards the first stage, which is just over an hour away.
There's already been heartbreak for two local favourites.
Pieter Tsjoen's Ypres Rally got off to a frustrating start when the motor in his Skoda Fabia let go in free practice.
Having already used his spare, the multiple Belgian champion is out.
A pity as he was due to take it in turns with Bernd Casier to drive and co-drive the Fabia, an unusual arrangement designed to allow the two home drivers to compete even when short on funding.

MotoGP - Assen: Another Moto2 crash now. Tito Rabat is currently on the outside of the front row alongside Espargaro and Redding in third, but he has a spectacular fall.

MotoGP - Assen: Perhaps the most amazing thing about this Moto2 session is that Rafid Topan Sucipto is riding in it.
The Indonesian rider crashed very heavily this morning, causing a half-hour stoppage in final practice. It looked like he had neck and leg injuries, but he escaped with contusions and was cleared for this session.
He's slowest though, 7s off the pace.
