MotoGP - Assen: This is shaping up to be an incredible race.
Crutchlow on pole and seeking his maiden win, Marc Marquez starting second but battered from his own big crash, Stefan Bradl on the front row for the first time, Valentino Rossi admitted he's made a pace breakthrough and starting a 2013-best of fourth, Dani Pedrosa should be the big favourite but is only fifth on the grid and has been muted... and that's before you get to the Lorenzo story or Ducati's huge struggle.

MotoGP - Assen: Jorge Lorenzo is going to end the warm-up eighth, 0.7 seconds off the pace, having completed 10 laps.
He'll have another medical check in an hour but the signs are surely that he will race today.
While flying back from a Barcelona hospital yesterday, Lorenzo secured 12th on the grid as his Thursday practice time got him into Q2, so he won't have to start last.

WTCC - Porto: The World Touring Car Championship has moved onto the Porto street circuit for its final European round of the season.
Yvan Muller is edging away in the championship in the now non-factory Chevrolet, despite there being seven different winners so far this year.
Returnee Michel Nykjaer is already a three-time winner this season and is right on factory Honda driver Gabriele Tarquini's tail.

GP3 - Silverstone: Jack Harvey goes top on 1m47.145s - impressive given that he had to deal with two cars on the exit of Copse and required a big lift through Becketts. ART team-mate Regalia is second quickest by 0.042s.
MotoGP - Assen: Lorenzo is now fourth and only 0.3s off the pace. He drops back to sixth very quickly as others improve, though.

GP3 - Silverstone: Daniil Kvyat hits the top on 1m47.366s. Fellow Red Bull Junior Carlos Sainz Jr has been off at Club, with fellow frontrunners Facu Regalia and Nick Yelloly also having off-track moments. Jack Harvey is up to second now.

MotoGP - Assen: It's cold, windy and the track has damp patches. Frankly miserable conditions for testing out an injured collarbone, yet Lorenzo is now down to within 0.6s of the pace.

GP3 - Silverstone: This weekend is the debut of Pirelli's brand new super hard compound, designed to bring durability after extreme degradation issues encountered in the opening round at Barcelona. It adds an extra element of intrigue to this qualifying session. Robert Visoiu is the early pacesetter.

MotoGP - Assen: More collarbone news - Moto2 frontrunner Takaaki Nakagami has been ruled out for today after he broke his collarbone in the warm-up.
GP3 - Silverstone: Cars are now on track for qualifying. Heavy cloud is slowly giving way to watery sunshine. The track is dry - game on.
MotoGP - Assen: Understandably Lorenzo is taking it very easy. Stefan Bradl picks a gentle path around the world champion. Crashing into Lorenzo today would be a pretty unpopular move.
MotoGP - Assen: Lorenzo clambers on the bike and somehow finds a way through the enormous crowd of photographers in front of the Yamaha garage. He sets off.
GP3 - Silverstone: AUTOSPORT arrived in the F1 paddock just behind Fernando Alonso this morning, and Jacques Villeneuve has just arrived in our cafe vantage point - all the world champions turning out for GP3 qualifying. Impressive.

MotoGP - Assen: The major news of the morning is that Jorge Lorenzo has been cleared to take part in the Dutch Grand Prix warm-up, less than 48 hours after a complex break of his left collarbone.

ERC - Ypres: Breen loses more time on the short SS6, which drops him behind Hayden Paddon and down to fourth overall, as Paddon sets the fastest time.
ERC - Ypres: Disaster for Craig Breen. A broken driveshaft costs him over a minute and a half on SS5.
With the field already so spread out, that only drops him to third behind Bryan Bouffier.

GP3 - Silverstone: No more changes at the top after that late-ish flurry, so Sainz was fastest on 1m47.432s ahead of Williamson, Yelloly (who was a last-lap improver), Kvyat, Daly, McKee and points leader Ellinas. Erstwhile pacesetter Harvey slipped back to 11th, but looked happier than he was in Valencia last time out.
GP3 - Silverstone: Lewis Williamson has looked very impressive throughout this session, and goes top on 1m47.871s. But Carlos Sainz Jr beats him with a 1m47.432s as the session gets down to its business end.

GP3 - Silverstone: A good old-fashioned timing screen glitch has just rectified itself. Jack Harvey has just set the fastest time, 0.111s faster than Daniil Kvyat. Valencia winners Robert Visoiu and Conor Daly are third and fourth respectively.

GP3 - Silverstone: Williamson and Sainz have been trading fastest times, but the Spaniard has just proved that touching a wet kerb is a dangerous game. He's just paid a visit to the Copse run-off after getting a tad too ambitious.

GP3 - Silverstone: Nick Yelloly has gone second fastest, but Fong is still 6.5s clear of him. Perhaps he's driving the South Circuit? Extraordinary.

GP3 - Silverstone: Second-fastest man Jack Harvey - the quickest on wets - has just explored the run-off between Abbey and Farm. It was quite a lengthy expedition, and he's certainly got a lot of data for future reference. Fong is now fastest by 7.395s.
GP3 - Silverstone: Half the field on track, half the field in the pits so far in this 45-minute session. After a trip to the cafe, we can confirm Luis Sa Silva has just gone out on slicks.
