Auto GP - Silverstone: Budget-constrained Hungarian Tamas Pal Kiss has revealed just how late his offer to race for Zele Racing this weekend was...

"It was one of the craziest last-minute calls that I have ever had," said Kiss. "The record was for FR3.5 in Barcelona last year. That time, I got a call on the Wednesday evening before the race confirming I was able to race for the budget that I had.

"This weekend did almost look impossible. I had a call at 4pm on Wednesday, and I got here really late on Thursday. I can't thank the team enough."
MotoGP - Mugello: Honda is finding some pace in this final session before qualifying. Dani Pedrosa leads Jorge Lorenzo by four tenths.

Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez are currently sixth and eighth.
MotoGP - Mugello: Marquez isn't the only man struggling with discomfort.

Bradley Smith suffered finger and wrist injuries in his Friday afternoon crash, Andrea Dovizioso still has back pain following a practice tumble, and Ben Spies has had to pull out of yet another race due to continued problems with the shoulder he damaged in Australia last year.

MotoGP - Mugello: Marquez has a small fracture to his shoulder and a bandaged chin following his massive Friday afternoon accident.

SMARTFotos captured his battered Honda being recovered to the pits.

For the first time in his MotoGP career, Marquez's practice times were not good enough to get him straight into Q2.

He joins fellow prototype riders Andrea Iannone and Bradley Smith in fighting to get out of Q1.

CRT man Aleix Espargaro has already secured a top-12 spot.
MotoGP - Mugello: Moto2 qualifying top 10: 1 Folger; 2 Vinales; 3 Rins; 4 Miller; 5 Salom; 6 Oliveira; 7 Antonelli; 8 Kornfeil; 9 Webb; 10 Marquez.
MotoGP - Mugello: Four minutes until the final half-hour of practice heading into qualifying.

The big stories of the weekend so far have been Marc Marquez's accidents (tally now up to three) and Yamaha's pace.
MotoGP - Mugello: Frantic end to the Moto2 qualifying session. Maverick Vinales looked to have taken a comfortable pole having deposed long-time timesheet topper Miguel Oliveira. But a canny bit of riding from Jonas Folger earned the German his first pole of the season.

Auto GP - Silverstone: After his positive start to the weekend, Giovesi did not rule out more Auto GP outings this season.

“We will see at the end of these races if there is a sponsor,” said Giovesi. “I am not just here to learn Silverstone for the GP2 race. That is a part of the reason, but I'm here because because the track is legendary, and I also like this championship. It is very economical given the power.”

Auto GP - Silverstone: Karthikeyan is confident he is in good shape for this afternoon’s opening race.

"My time on old tyres in practice was very good," he said. "We know the race pace was there, so we have to try and aim for the win. It is quite good, though, it’s just the middle sector of the track where had a slight problem.

"The tyres that I used in free practice had done 150km. In qualifying, we thought with new tyres we could get easily into the 1m45s, so I don’t know why that didn’t work out as it didn’t get much hotter."
Auto GP - Silverstone: Pole winner Narain Karthikeyan expressed satisfaction with setting the fast time in all three of Friday's practice and qualifying sessions.

But the Indian felt a late red flag during yesterday afternoon's qualifying session prevented him delivering a lap representative of his performance advantage.

"The red flag caused things to get a little bit messed up, so I should have done a slightly better time," said Karthikeyan.
FR3.5 - Spa: Some clever timetable shuffling from the World Series by Renault organisers has got everything in order for this afternoon. The FR3.5 race will start at 15.15 local time.
MotoGP - Mugello: Halfway through the Moto3 qualifying session and Miguel Oliveira is just ahead of Maverick Vinales and Luis Salom, who is riding with wrist pain.

Le Mans news: GreenGT's hydrogen-electric prototype has been withdrawn from its 'Garage 56' spot on the 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours grid.
European F3 - Spielberg: Felix Rosenqvist won an entertaining first European F3 race to edge closer to championship leader Raffaele Marciello.

Full race report
FR3.5 - Spa: A messy session for home favourite Vandoorne, who seemed unable to find a clear lap in the closing stages and tumbled down the order to 13th.
FR3.5 - Spa: Magnussen was in control for much of that session, responding emphatically to a challenge from Pic in the closing stages. Some drivers will undoubtedly be blaming some late yellow flags for ruining their laps too as it was an incident-filled final few minutes.
FR3.5 - Spa: Qualifying top 10: 1 Magnussen; 2 da Costa; 3 Jaafar; 4 Pic; 5 Sorensen; 6 Martsenko; 7 Move; 8 Webb; 9 Nato; 10 Huertas.
FR3.5 - Spa: As cars come in for a second set of tyres with around eight minutes to go, Magnussen leads Vandoorne in the battle for pole.

MotoGP - Mugello: Moto3 qualifying is next up from Italy in about 20 minutes time. In the meantime, check out this picture from SMARTFotos of Valentino Rossi's special helmet.
FR3.5 - Spa: Finally! FR3.5 qualifying has started. No surprise to see all cars on slicks, but they are going to have to work hard to get them up to temperature and look out for the damp patches around the track.
European F3 - Spielberg: Race one winner Felix Rosenqvist: "That's only about the second time I've scored points in something like seven F3 races here, so it's good to do it with a win. We're finally making some gains on Carlin and Prema now so I'm feeling pretty positive."
European F3 - Spielberg: Championship positions after race 1: 1 Marciello 229.5; 2 Rosenqvist 162; 3 Auer 132; 4 Lynn 127.5; 5 Tincknell 107; 6 Blomqvist 88.5; 7 Serralles 76; 8 Muller 60; 9 King 54; 10 Wehrlein 49.
FR3.5 - Spa: It's almost time for the rescheduled first FR3.5 qualifying session of the weekend. The FR Eurocup cars were able to run on slicks throughout their sessions, but there are still damp patches around the track.
MotoGP - Mugello: Some insight into that second crash of the weekend for Marquez - AUTOSPORT's Simon Strang has learned that he jumped off the bike to avoid falling and injuring himself further. He's fairly sore, but he's okay - and up for it.
MotoGP - Mugello: Still plenty of MotoGP action to come, including the two qualifying sessions. Taking part in the first will be Marc Marquez after the Spaniard struggled in FP3 - a session topped once again by Jorge Lorenzo.

Full practice report
European F3 - Spielberg: Race 1 result: 1 Rosenqvist; 2 Kvyat, +14.3s; 3 King; 4 Marciello; 5 Latifi; 6 Muller; 7 Lynn; 8 Cheever; 9 Lewis; 10 Auer.
Acropolis Rally - SS6 results:

Stage results: 1 Sordo; 2 Latvala + 0.1s; 3 Ostberg + 9.6s; 4 Ogier + 10.8s; 5 Hirvonen + 11.2s.

Overall results: 1 Latvala; 2 Sordo + 18.7s; 3 Neuville + 1m.10.8s; 4 Al Attiyah + 2m54.4s; 5 Mikkelsen + 3m.15.7s.
Acropolis Rally: More clouds coming around Loutraki. Some predicting rain for the afternoon. Changeable conditions would be a proper test for Volkswagen's new hydraulic handbrake...
European F3 - Spielberg: No great surprise to see Wolf given a drive-through for spinning Blomqvist. Silly boy.
European F3 - Spielberg: Wolf is falling like a stone. First Latifi passes him for fourth at Turn 2, then the URD driver runs wide, allowing Marciello and Muller past. Half a lap later Blomqvist gets by on the outside at Turn 1, only to be tapped into a spin by Wolf, who also loses out to Lynn.
Acropolis Rally: Latvala super-cool and very relaxed about his 18.7-second lead mid-way through day two. Sordo sets his first fastest time of the event, edging the Polo driver by a tenth.
European F3 - Spielberg: Unseen on our screens King has got past Wolf for third. Marciello has also retaken sixth from Muller; that move coming down the inside at Turn 3.
FR3.5 - Spa: Qualifying for Formula Renault 3.5 will start at 12.10 local time. The session has been reduced to 20 minutes.
DTM - Spielberg: Joey Hand was fastest in this morning's practice session as he looks to improve on a best-ever DTM finish on a fifth last time out at Brands Hatch.

Full practice report
European F3 - Spielberg: At just beyond half-distance, the order is: 1 Rosenqvist; 2 Kvyat; 3 Wolf; 4 King; 5 Latifi; 6 Muller; 7 Marciello; 8 Lynn; 9 Blomqvist; 10 Cheever.
European F3 - Spielberg: Jordan King is having a real go at taking third away from Lucas Wolf. Neither has been on a European F3 podium this year. Muller has passed Marciello back for sixth, and the Italian now has team-mate Lynn right behind him. Auer is up to 13th after his early spin.
Acropolis Rally: Very encouraging to see FIA president Jean Todt in service park and deep in talks with WRC promoters. Read his thoughts on rallying's future in AUTOSPORT and Motorsport News next week.
FR3.5 - Spa: Two hours and 25 minutes after the action was supposed to start, we have FR Eurocup cars on track. The fog is hanging in the trees around the circuit but on-track it has cleared very quickly. We'll have more on the revised schedule, including FR3.5 session times, shortly.
European F3 - Spielberg: Marciello's path was cleared somewhat by Sven Muller and Lucas Auer banging wheels while squabbling over fifth, contact that caused Auer to spin exiting Turn 2. Auer dropped to 22nd, but has climbed back up to 16th already.
