Senna fastest for iSport at Jerez

Bruno Senna topped the timesheets on the second day of GP2 testing at Jerez with 2007 champions iSport

The Brazilian's lap of 1:27.015 was a new GP2 lap record around the Spanish circuit, and it ensured that iSport stayed at the top of the times for the second day running, after Adam Carroll went fastest for them on Thursday.

Senna was pleased with his performance at the test, where he had also impressed with Campos on the first day.

"It has been really good to jump into two cars this week and be on the pace," he said. "It is a very nice feeling to come away from the test with the fastest time.

"I worked very hard with the teams and they were pleased with the work that I did. Now I will continue to prepare myself in the best possible way for next year."

Carroll was second quickest on the final day of the test as he switched from iSport to Minardi Piquet Sports, while Giorgio Pantano was next up, two tenths of a second adrift of the Ulsterman.

Luca Filippi had another solid day with DPR as he set the fourth fastest time, while Karun Chandhok completed the top five in the second iSport car.

Javier Villa was competitive again for Racing Engineering, just ahead of Andreas Zuber, who set the seventh fastest time as he returned to his 2006 team Trident Racing.

Marco Bonanomi was the best of the newcomers for the second day running, as he set the eighth fastest time for Minardi Piquet Sports.

The times were a lot slower in the afternoon session, where Carroll set the pace ahead of Alexandre Negrao, who was driving for former champions ART.

iSport's drivers completed a short run at the start of the final session, before the new champions packed up and left the circuit early.
