Red Bull F1 junior Pierre Gasly thinks GP2 best 2015 option
Red Bull Formula 1 junior Pierre Gasly believes that a move to GP2 for 2015 makes sense, amid speculation that he could drive for DAMS next year
Gasly, who finished as runner-up in Formula Renault 3.5 as a rookie this year, is one of several drivers talking to DAMS, along with fellow French racer Esteban Ocon, this year's Formula 3 European champion.
"I know that DAMS would like to work with me, but I don't know what the plan is," Gasly told AUTOSPORT.
"I think I would learn more if I go to GP2 rather than staying in World Series.
"It would be easier to do World Series again but it would be more educational to move on.
"It would be an interesting move. I could get a feeling with Pirelli tyres and start a new adventure.
"I really don't know what they [Red Bull] want to do with me. I heard some things, but it's still unknown."

Gasly has been racing in GP2 since the Monza round in September, driving for Caterham alongside his FR3.5 programme with Arden.
While his two 11th place finishes at Sochi are his best results so far in GP2, he believes his three-round campaign, including the upcoming finale at Yas Marina, is useful preparation for the future.
"It's been really interesting even if I had some tough moments," he said.
"It's not easy to come in the middle of the championship, and mileage in the car on race weekends is low compared to World Series.
"I haven't had any testing but I have been able to work hard, it's good preparation and if I work with a team from the start of testing [for 2015] then it will be fine."
DAMS boss Jean-Paul Driot told AUTOSPORT last week that he expects his team to be able to confirm its 2015 plans once some of the open seats in F1 are finalised over the next couple of weeks.
