Piquet fastest in Silverstone practice
Nelson Piquet Jr headed the times in free practice at Silverstone to give his hopes of clawing back Lewis Hamilton in the title race an early boost

Despite spinning off with five minutes of the session remaining - bringing out the red flags in the process - Piquet clung onto the top spot by under one tenth of a second from Trident Racing's Gimmi Bruni.
Adam Carroll was third fastest for Racing Engineering, while Hamilton took fourth.
There have been a number of driver changes ahead of this weekend's races. After switching to iSport from BCN, Timo Glock was seventh quickest, while his replacement at the Spanish outfit, Luca Filippi, was 20th.
GP2 returnee Neel Jani was 15th acting as Nicolas Lapierre at Arden, while Brit Mike Conway was 22nd in the DPR Direxiv car normally driven by the injured Olivier Pla.
