Darren Manning was fastest during the official Formula 3000 test at Valencia

Manning leads testing in Valencia

The Arden driver, who won both the Macau and Korean F3 races, set a quickest lap of 1.24.544s to finish ahead of Gauloises Formula pilot Sebastien Bourdais.

Third was Enrique Bernoldi (Red Bull Jr Team) who set a fast time of 1.24.648s, with Andre Couto (Gauloises) in fourth.

Ex-Formula 3 star Kristian Kolby was fifth in the DAMS challenger, ahead of Kid Jensen Racing's Andrea Piccini.

Just over half a second separated the top 14 drivers.
