Jani Unhappy after Eventful Race
Neel Jani was disappointed to have lost out on a higher points finish after finishing fifth in an action-packed race in Barcelona

Jani felt that improvements his Racing Engineering team was working on last night didn't work out to his benefit, noting: "Yesterday was certainly better for me! We went the wrong direction with the step we were working on and I was a bit slower, but at least I think we know what to do next time."
Despite this, Jani started strongly and was fighting with eventual podium finisher Scott Speed in the early stages of the race before an incident between the pair and Gianmaria Bruni at the restart after a safety car period slowed his race pace.
"Scott ran wide on the outside at turn one so I went to the inside to overtake him but I didn't see Gimmi because he was in my blind spot, and we just touched wheels. I think it was probably just a racing incident."
Bruni was off with a broken suspension, but Jani continued on until a collision between Nelson Piquet and Adam Carroll saw the Ulsterman spin luridly in front of Jani.
"When Carroll spun I braked but my anti-stall came on I don't know why really because I was still rolling, but that's why I couldn't keep the position," Jani said.
Nico Rosberg, who had been well behind Jani before the incident, was able to take advantage of Jani's slow down to steal fourth place just corners from the finish.
