Mike Conway gets Paris Formula E return with Faraday Future Dragon
Mike Conway will replace Loic Duval in the Faraday Future Dragon team for the Paris Formula E race next month
Toyota World Endurance Championship racer Conway will be drafted in when Duval has to miss Paris as it clashes with the Lausitz round of the DTM, where he races for Audi.
The deal to pair up with Jerome d'Ambrosio in Paris is expected to be officially confirmed later this week.
Conway tested for Dragon before FE began in 2014, and raced in the championship with Venturi last season.
"I've worked with the team before and I enjoyed being in the series last year," Conway told Autosport.
"I've been itching to get back into Formula E and this deal is good for me.
"Paris is one of the tracks I like and I was quick there last season.
"With no testing it is slightly in at the deep end as the car is new to me, but there will be some elements I am familiar with too."
Conway, who started last weekend's WEC opener at Silverstone from pole position, is keen on a full-time FE return.
"I want to continue on in Formula E beyond Paris and into the next season too," he said.
"To do a programme alongside Formula E would be ideal but it is very much step by step for the moment and we will see how it goes.
"But yes I want to be back there."
The 33-year-old made his FE debut with Venturi in Buenos Aires last season, reaching the superpole session at the first attempt.
His best result was eighth in Berlin.
