SG Formula to join F3 Euro Series
French team SG Formula have announced that they will compete in the F3 Euro Series from 2008
The team have won races in the Formula Renault Eurocup, as well as winning races and championships in the French series since 2004.
Former drivers for the team include 2007 F3 Euro Series champion Romain Grosjean, along with Guillaume Moreau, Franck Mailleux, and Tom Dillmann.
Team boss Stephane Guerin said: "Moving into Formula 3 Euro Series racing is a natural step for both the team and the company. We have been working towards this and now I believe we have the stature for it.
"This is exactly what we need going forward, as we strive for our main objective, which has always been to shape young drivers into winners and future champions.
"The best way to learn is to pit your strength against the best and I'm sure that's exactly what we will be facing in Formula 3 Euro Series racing next season."
The team have not confirmed which engines they will use next year, and they have not announced any drivers for next season yet.
"Obviously we would prefer to promote drivers with whom we have already worked," Guerin added. "They like the project and they know us well. Nothing has been decided yet but I get the impression there are more takers than leavers."
The team has won this year's French Formula Renault title with Jules Bianchi, while Charles Pic and Jon Lancaster have won races in the Eurocup.
