Mailleux and Plowman get VW engines
Volkswagen have added Franck Mailleux and Martin Plowman to their line-up for the F3 Euro Series campaign
Mailleux completes the four-car line-up at Signature, while Plowman will race for RC Motorsport in his rookie season in the championship.
Volkswagen are expecting to power eight drivers in the championship this year, and so far they have five confirmed.
"Martin and Franck are a genuine boost for our squad in the 2008 F3 Euro Series," said Volkswagen motorsport boss Kris Nissen.
"Whoever wants to be successful in F3 must bring a strong package to the grid. Team, driver, chassis and engine must be first class and fit perfectly together."
Plowman, who moves up from Formula Renault to F3, added: "Moving up to the Euro Series is a very important step for me and I can hardly wait for the season to start.
"The co-operation with Volkswagen is a golden opportunity for me. I'll have to learn very quickly as the engineers, circuits and cars are new to me."
