Jarvis earns pole for race two
Oliver Jarvis got the better of Mike Conway to take pole in this afternoon's second British Formula Three qualifying session at Snetterton
The McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner, who took his maiden victory last time out at Mondello Park, came out to play with a deadly accurate car and edged out the seemingly unbeatable Conway.
But Conway is still set to consolidate his championship lead, having already taken pole position for the first race. His main rival and Double R team-mate Bruno Senna did not improve as much as he might have wished in this session, clocking fifth-best time, having been eighth in the morning.
Filling in the second row are Jarvis' Carlin team-mate Maro Engel, and Double R driver Stephen Jelley, who improved substantially from eleventh in the first session. Christian Bakkerud slipped back to seventh in this session, having qualified on the front row for the first race.
There was a shake-up in the National Class, with Cristiano Morgado beating Rodolfo Gonzalez. T-Sport driver Gonzalez had taken his usual pole in the first session, but rather unusually had to settle for second behind the South African Morgado in the afternoon.
