Hulkenberg unsure about future
Nico Hulkenberg admits that he could spend another year racing in the F3 Euro Series, which would be his third year of racing in Formula Three
The German driver is currently third in championship in his first year of racing in the Euro Series, but this is his second year in the category, as he raced in the German F3 Cup in 2006.
Hulkenberg had been tipped to contend for the title this year, but he is a distant third behind Romain Grosjean and Sebastien Buemi.
"It is possible that I do a year of Euro Series again," Hulkenberg told autosport.com. "Maybe GP2, but we have not spoken about it yet.
"Right now I just want to fix third place in the championship. This is the realistic aim, because Grosjean and Buemi are too far away in the championship."
The 20-year-old has been dominant on occasions this year, but after winning from 18th on the grid at the Norisring, he then missed out on points in the next four races.
However, he is happy with his performances of late, which included winning the prestigious F3 Masters at Zolder in August.
"If I could finish third it would be a good year," he said. "We will go for victories in the last races, try to keep this level now."
Hulkenberg added that he would not be making any one-off returns to A1GP during the winter, as he does not want to disrupt the efforts of Team Germany's new lead driver Christian Vietoris.
"I won't do A1GP again," he said. "When you had a season like we had, you can't really do better than that.
"The team has nominated Christian as the lead driver, so it would not make sense for me to come in and do one or two races."
