Hock 2: Nico doubles up
Nico Rosberg stole his second Formula 3 Euroseries win of the season to make it a perfect start at Hockenheim, but his wins owed much to the antics of the ASM drivers
From pole Jamie Green got away well and led comfortably from team-mate Alexandre Premat. As the race developed it became clear that Premat had perhaps the faster car and he looked for a way by Green.
His first attempt at the hairpin failed when he ran wide, but the second time he tried the move he forced Green wide too, which allowed Rosberg to nip by for an opportunistic victory.
Green held onto Roseberg's tail but was never close enough to try a pass, while Premat dropped back to collect a comfortable third. Dutchman Giedo van der Garde took fourth after a race-long duel with Eric Salignon.
Brit Lewis Hamilton joined the battle for fourth late on, but could not find a way through. Sixth place and his first Euroseries points, was just reward for a strong drive after he was forced off the track on the opening lap.
