Hock 1: Rosberg wins
Nico Rosberg made the perfect start to the Formula 3 Euroseries by winning the opening round at Hockenheim
Rosberg sprinted off the line to lead polesitter Alexandre Premat into the first corner. The ASM driver remained on the tail of the Opel-powered car until a small late-race error, but was never close enough to challenge for the lead.
French rookie Frank Perera picked up third place after avoiding the first lap shenanigans between Jamie Green and Nicolas Lapierre, which took both drivers into the gravel. Green recovered and fought back to claim fourth. Lapierre took the final point for eighth place.
All three ASM drivers finished in the top five, with Eric Salignon fifth, comfortably ahead of the Mucke team-mates Robert Kubica and Bruno Spengler.
It was a tough debut for Lewis Hamilton who also lost out in a first lap skirmish. He dropped to 19th at one stage, but battled back well to come home 11th.
