Grosjean on pole at Pau
Guesting Formula 3 Euroseries team Signature took two of the first four places on the grid for the first British F3 race at Pau tomorrow (Sunday)
Renault Development driver Romain Grosjean will start on pole, with his teammate Guillaume Moreau lining up in fourth.
Given the vast Pau experience of both the team and the two French drivers, Mike Conway (Double R) will not be too upset to lead the British championship points-scorers, most of whom are visiting the track for the first time. Conway, who lies second in the points, will start second.
But with championship leader Bruno Senna struggling on the street track, it was Carlin Motorsport that had the best overall team performance of the British series runners. Christian Bakkerud starts third, with teammate Maro Engel starting fifth despite a serious accident at Foch.
The German was not alone in hitting the barriers, with two red flags punctuating the session. Carlin's third driver Oliver Jarvis also went into the wall, with Charles Hollings (Fortec Motorsport) and Alberto Valerio (Cesario Formula) also crashing.
