Conway on pole for second race
Mike Conway took Double R's second British F3 pole position of the day by setting the fastest time in qualifying for the second Silverstone race tomorrow
The championship leader took command of this rather windier and slower session early on, and then parked his car in the pits when his car ran dry of fuel.
Teammate Bruno Senna did the same, though he was less happy to be fourth this time around.
Senna was not able to negotiate the yellow flags and traffic as well as Conway, losing out to the Carlin Motorsport cars of Oliver Jarvis and Christian Bakkerud.
But most of the Double R squad were adamant that the Carlin times should be disqualified.
"We made a couple of changes for this session and it worked out OK," said Conway. "We just had to wait out the yellow flags early on and then put a time in.
"Some people set their best times under yellow, though; that shouldn't be allowed."
The two races on the Grand Prix layout, which support the Grand Prix Masters event, take place tomorrow.
