Wurz unsure about future plans

Austrian Alexander Wurz says he is still unsure about his plans for next season but reckons things will start to become clearer in the next four races

Wurz has made a full-time return to racing this season with Williams, after spending the last six years as a test driver first with McLaren and then with the Grove-based squad.

The 33-year-old says he is still undecided on his plans for 2008, with his current contract believed to run out at the end of this year.

"I really don't know," Wurz said about his plans for 2008 in an interview with the official Formula One website.

"I am a fan of making decisions step by step. At the end of the day, I have to perform to get a strong position in the driver market. Let's wait and see, as I think in this season it will all be a little bit slower.

"In the next four races, I would think that things will start to happen and some changes will take place. For now, I am very happy with the current situation.

"From day one, I was welcome in the team and this gave me a lot of confidence. On a technical basis, we are all on the same wavelength and everyone is focused in the same direction."

Wurz, who made his Formula One debut 10 years ago with Benetton, scored his first podium since the 2005 San Marino Grand Prix at last weekend's race in Canada.
