Webber's woes continue
Mark Webber suffered more woe on Saturday morning during free practice at Monaco after he stopped early with his Jaguar engine smoking in the second 45 minute session. The team has once again repaired the problems and placed the unit in Webber's spare to allow him to qualify without a 10-space penalty
The Australian posted the third fastest time in the first free practice session of the morning, but before he could begin working down to a qualifying pace in the second 45 minutes he was forced to stop again.
Webber had already missed the whole of the second session on Thursday after an oil leak, but the team decided against changing the engine, preferring to repair the damage instead of incurring the grid penalty. This could have contributed to the Australian's problems today.
"It's annoying because we really needed the laps," said Webber. "We will have to take the penalty for sure now." When asked what he thought was wrong with the car he replied: "I have no idea.
"It's so frustrating. Monaco is the worst possible place to have to take it because it is so difficult to pass here. It's also frustrating because I like driving here!"
