Webber Pleased with Jaguar's Race Pace

Mark Webber was happy with his Jaguar's race pace after finishing in ninth position in today's French Grand Prix, an event which saw just two retirements.

Mark Webber was happy with his Jaguar's race pace after finishing in ninth position in today's French Grand Prix, an event which saw just two retirements.

"Today's race was incredibly competitive with most teams both reliable and fast," said the Australian, who has scored Jaguar's three points in ten races.

"The team has done an amazing job all weekend and to see us finishing both cars in ninth and 11th after only one retirement is really testament to the hard work we have been undertaking here at the track and back in the factory.

"There is no doubt that the R5 package is competitive and worthy of points finishes, you now just need to be perfect all weekend to get them since the competition is so tough."

Webber was Jaguar's best classified driver in today's race, with Austrian Christian Klien finishing down in 11th place.

The rookie was also pleased with his work despite failing to score points.

"This weekend has really been a good step forward for me as I feel everything is coming together," said Klien. "I have been gradually improving all weekend in my pace and to start 13th and finish 11th with a problem-free race is fantastic."
