Webber hopes Red Bull slump a one-off

Mark Webber is hoping Red Bull's poor showing at the Hungarian Grand Prix is just a one-off and that they can fight back in the next race

The Australian was unable to fight for a points finish after one of the most uncompetitive outings of the season by the Milton Keynes squad.

Webber had to settle for ninth position and he admitted he just didn't have enough pace.

"We weren't quick enough," said Webber. "We didn't do a good enough job in qualifying yesterday, which hurt us in the race. We struggled to find pace - and it was hard to stay with the Toyotas and Renaults, who we're fighting in the championship.

"Let's hope it's this track though and that we can bounce back in Valencia."

Teammate David Coulthard finished 11th, but the Scot said tenth was the best possible result for him.

"Unfortunately I got some traffic before my last stop, which allowed Nick (Heidfeld) to pass me; otherwise I couldn't do any more today," he said. "The car has a lot of oversteer and rear sliding. Now we'll just focus on the next race and see that we can do there."
