Verstappen pleased with first Jordan outing
Jos Verstappen was pleased with his first drive in a Jordan at Silverstone, despite being well down the order at yesterday's test
He was joined by Jordan's test driver Shinji Nakano on the circuit in the final major session before the British Grand Prix.
After completing 36 laps in a best time of 1:30.16, the Dutch driver said, 'It is good to drive in a top car. I enjoyed myself very much.
'The car feels good and is certainly quick. It is up to me to show quick I can be.'
Close attention is being paid to Verstappen, who is hotly tipped as the man to replace Damon Hill at the Jordan team for the rest of the season.
There has been no statement from Hill about his future, but a decision is expected later today.
Whatever happens Verstappen can expect to be under close scrutiny again.
Michael Schumacher topped the testing times, with David Coulthard and Rubens Barricehllo close behind.
Schumacher continues tomorrow and will be joined for the rest of the week by team-mate Eddie Irvine.
