Trulli's frustration mounts

Jarno Trulli admitted his frustrations are mounting after another engine failure dashed hopes of a points finish at the Belgian Grand Prix. The Italian was on course for fifth place and collect two points, when four laps from the end of the race, his EJ11 let go of its Honda engine in spectacular fashion

"It has been a long season," said Trulli, who swaps seats with Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella next season. "We had several mechanical problems and every time there seems to be something different going wrong at the moment.

"It is bad luck on my part, because I feel I am doing all I can and then everything is over, and not because of me," he continued. "Today, I was having a very good race. My overtaking was aggressive and I drove superbly, but the car didn't last again. At one point I overtook two cars - Jacques Villeneuve and Jean Alesi - so I was pulling away from everyone.

"But at the end of the race the engine gave up. I knew it was happening because it wouldn't push anymore and then it died. It was not a nice feeling."

It was Trulli's sixth retirement in 14 races.
