Sutil relaxed about his F1 future

Adrian Sutil is happy to sit and wait for his Formula One future to sort itself out, because he knows he has a guaranteed seat for 2008

The German already has a firm deal with Spyker for next season but, with other teams expressing an interest, there remains the chance his contract could be sold on for 2008.

Speculation has linked Sutil with a drive at Toyota and Williams, with recent rumours even suggesting that he had tried out the Williams simulator in Grove.

Sutil says that nothing is decided yet, and he is relaxed about how events pan out because of his Spyker deal.

"Well the good thing is that I have a contract here with Spyker, so it is safe I will be in F1," he told autosport.com.

"For sure there is some interest from other teams and we have to see which is the best option with the best possibility from my point of view. I will try to be in a competitive team as soon as possible, I want to win races and go for the championship.

"It is a comfortable situation, but sure you are hoping a big team will come or whatever. I think the winter time will be not so relaxing.

"There will be many changes, and I think many drivers will change teams. It will be interesting. The first one will sign and then it will be like a domino effect."

Sutil made it clear, however, that he had not tested the Williams simulator.

"That's just a rumour," he said. "It came from somebody and I think Frank Williams has already talked about it. It was just a rumour. I'm sorry!"

And even if his options elsewhere fail to reach fruition, Sutil has said he would be happy to stay at Spyker - especially now that it has the backing of co-owner Vijay Mallya.

"We have more financial possibilities and it should be better for sure," he said. "The car should be better and we develop a little bit more to do a real big step.

"We will not be in the midfield but for sure there will be another step and we will be a little bit closer."
