Schumacher warns against complacency

lead in the championship and then warned his team not to relax.
"We're on a roll at the moment and we have the momentum but you know how
lively F1 is and how quickly things can change.

"The gap ahead of Mika is 24 points - which is nice - but it is early yet in
the championship and we know what can happen so we will work carefully to
keep it.

But the result was confirmation that he is the early season pacesetter
although McLaren still have the upper hand in qualifying.

Schumacher won the race despite a fumbled start in front of his home fans.

The German's Ferrari bogged down as he overcooked the accelerator and his
wheels were left spinning uselessly on the tarmac.

"That was one of the worst starts I've done - as bad as Suzuka last year. I
had massive wheel spin and I was lucky no-one got past me.

His third consecutive victory is Ferrari's best start to a championship in 24
years and gives him a 21 point over teammate Rubens Barrichello who was
fourth.

"But I am really delighted to have won here in front of the fans and for the
team."

"That was really good fun. It was like qualifying from the beginning to the
end."

"I wanted that and the fans wanted to see it and it was great entertainment.

But his race was not without drama after he was almost knocked off the track
in a misunderstanding while lapping Pedro Diniz.

"I lost two seconds behind Diniz, he tried to give me room but it was the
wrong place, I locked four wheels and was sliding and just praying 'please
please let there be enough room' and there was."

"It was all very exciting, I wanted to see where we are compared to the
McLarens and now we know.

"We won the race, we know its tight and we'll have to keep pushing.
